In addition to the subjects taught in English, exchange students have also available courses called English Friendly Courses (EFC). Those subjects are taught in Spanish, but the syllabus, lecturer tutoring and assignments/exams are available in English. Those subjects are addressed especially to exchange students who have a good command in Spanish language, but prefer to assessed in English. The list of EFC courses is available in the following document: English Friendly Courses 2019-20

Choice of courses

Exchange students at the Faculty of Arts must take at least half of their study load (ECTS credits) in our Faculty. Therefore, it is possible to take courses in other faculties on Campus of Alava under request and always having the approval of the coordinator of the corresponding faculty beforehand.

Spanish and Basque courses for visiting students

In addition to the offer of Bachelor subjects, visiting students have the option of taking an intensive Spanish course before the beginning of the first semester. Furthermore, Spanish and Basque courses are also offered to visiting students during each four-month period. These courses can be included into the Learning Agreement because ECTS credits are obtained and a certificate with the mark achieved is issued.
