Description and contextualization of the subject

This course allows students to delve into the nexus between materials and technologies used in environmental remediation, focusing on those used to combat soil, water and air pollution. Through a multidisciplinary approach, students will delve into various remediation techniques, materials, and real-world case studies.

The primary goal is to promote a deep understanding of the critical role that materials play in promoting environmental sustainability and facilitating ecosystem restoration.

Ranging from exploring cutting-edge advances in nanomaterials to improving traditional soil amendments, participants will gain a nuanced understanding of how various materials work to address environmental challenges. Emphasizing practical applications, the course equips students with the knowledge to critically evaluate and implement remediation strategies.
