Description and contextualization of the subject
Control engineering covers the analysis and change of the dynamics of different kind of systems. In this course, different control techniques are described, going from simple to complex systems, including the control of distributed systems. So, the course gives a big picture of control field, including concepts as feedback control, systems stabilization, systems monitoring, network based control. The application examples proposed are oriented to RF systems. The monitoring and control of distributed systems is working using an open source tool, the EPICS control systems, which is extensively used in large scientific facilities.Teaching staff
