Title: Spin-orbit coupling and electron-electron interaction in semiconductor nanostructures

Abstract
The role of the spin-orbit coupling in electron-electron interaction is discussed for electrons in semiconductors. We demonstrate that the spin-orbit coupling strongly changes the electron-electron scattering making it spin-dependent. Various manifestations of the spin-orbit coupling effects are considered including spin relaxation caused by the electron-electron collisions and spin splitting of  the energy levels of localized electrons.
