Research interests

I graduated in Physics from the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU) in 2011, and next year I took the masters in "Quantum Science and Technology" also in UPV/EHU. I joined Gonzalo Muga's group for my PhD, in the Physical Chemistry department, where we designed control techniques for fast and efficient manipulations of quantum systems with applications in quantum technologies. After graduating in 2017, I spent two and a half years doing a Postdoc at Dario Poletti's group in the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD). Here we studied the dynamics of more complex quantum systems, with applications such as quantum thermodynamics.

In summer 2020 I joined UPV/EHU again as an assistant professor in the Applied Physics department. My teaching is focused mostly in first year physics 101 courses, in the majors of maritime studies, navigation, mechanical engineering and electrical engineering. Regarding my research, I'm currently trying to apply all my previous knowledge of control of quantum systems to classical systems, with the aim of improving controllability in current technologies that require some kind of dynamical manipulation.
