Descripción y Contextualización de la Asignatura
Intelligent Agents and Distributed Artificial Intelligence. Multi-agent and planning systems.
Competencias/ Resultados de aprendizaje de la asignatura
Provide the basic concepts of distributed artificial intelligence. In particular, intelligent agents, multi-agent and planning systems.
Master the different stages of development of an advanced AI project: analysis, design, implementation, testing, presentation and evaluation of an advanced AI project, and apply this method to a real problem.
Contenidos teórico-prácticos
Topic 1 Intelligent Agents: Agent concept, brief history, types of agents from different perspectives, and agent architectures (deliberative, reactive and hybrid).
Topic 2 Multi-Agent Systems: Communication, FIPA Platform and communication models (speech acts) and applications. Some development platform: examples and practice.
Topic 3 Planning: Classic planning: operators, states and objectives. Partial order planners: lower commitment principle. Planning with fixing restrictions. Planning on states (forward and backward). Others.
