The research network DeMiNeS („Deutsch-Mittelmeerisches Netzwerk Sprachwissenschaft”) funded by the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation (2017 Humboldt Alumni Award for Innovative Networking Initiatives to Athina Sioupi) in cooperation with the Research Unit on (Experimental) Syntax and Heritage Languages at the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin (Artemis Alexiadou) is organizing a Summer School for MA and PhD students. Host of the school is the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Kalandra University Camping AUTh (Chalkidiki).
The summer school is aimed at early career researchers – MA and PhD students, and other researchers –, offering a mix of lectures, courses and workshops on various topics relevant to anyone interested in General Linguistics, Linguistic Theories, Comparative Linguistics and Typology. The summer school will offer classes on a variety of theoretical and methodological approaches on syntax, semantics and pragmatics, corpus linguistics, historical linguistics on Language Comparison and Typology of German and/or the Mediterranean languages.
