IVAN PEÑA VALVERDE

Associate Professor at the UPV/EHU, he started his professional career in the TSR Research Group at the Dpt. of Communications Engineering (http://www.ehu.eus/tsr_radio/) when he was a telecommunication engineering student. After working as product engineer in ZIV S.A., thanks to an educational cooperation program, and finishing his studies, he continued his activity at the university through different types of scholarships and contracts. This gave him the opportunity of obtaining the PhD Degree in Telecommunication Engineering with European mention, as well as great know-how in different research areas mainly related to signal processing and communication systems. As a result, Iván is coauthor of a book edited and distributed by the International Telecommunication Union, several articles published in indexed journals of recognized prestige and numerous contributions mostly presented at international symposiums (ORCID: 0000-0001-8093-8020).

Regarding his teaching experience, he initially worked at the Dpt. of Communication Engineering, giving lectures in both, the Telecommunication Engineering Degree and the Master in Information and Communication Technologies of Mobile Networks. Also, in that period, he became member of the Interuniversity Doctorate Program of the same name, where he is still Professor. Afterwards, he joined the Department of Applied Mathematics at the same university, where has been teaching subjects of up to 8 different Engineering Degrees.
