Características de las familias creadas por gestación subrogada en el Estado español

Resumen

A pesar de la inexistencia de datos cuantitativos sobre gestación subrogada en el Estado español, diversos indicadores apuntan a que esta es una vía cada vez más común para acceder a la maternidad y a la paternidad. Este artículo explora las principales características de las familias españolas creadas a través de gestación subrogada en diversos países del mundo. Para ello se aportarán datos primarios obtenidos de la aplicación de la encuesta EMirrors, que tiene como finalidad profundizar en el conocimiento sobre los procesos de gestación subrogada que personas españolas, tanto en pareja como de forma individual, realizan para crear sus familias. Concretamente, los resultados aquí presentados ofrecen un perfil sociodemográfico de las madres y los padres de intención españoles, pero también muestran las motivaciones que les llevaron a elegir la gestación subrogada, así como las principales características de dichos procesos.
