Biography

Juan José Peña earned his BS and MS in Physics from the University of Navarra and his PhD in Physics from the University of Basque Country. Professor of Physics of the University of Basque Country since 1982 and member of Materials Physics Department. In 1983 he received an award for his Doctoral Thesis written in Basque language.

Research

His research is focussed on dynamic –mechanical masurements and electronic- microscopy (SEM) related to the rheology of polymers, with special attention to physicochemical alterations of vinyl polymers and polymer blends produced during extrusion.

Publications

He has published around 45 articles in international journals and showed over 40 communications in International Conferences. Professor Peña has published several physics books in Basque language contributing largely to the introduction of this language in the University.
