Mountains & Public Law: from natural risk towards the nature of the risk.
Within this blog we would like to open a global path for global discussion and exchange on the different issues involved with Mountains & Public Law. The issue of eventual liability, risk and insurance within risky activities in mountains is a growing concern for legal practitioners, mountaineering federations, guides and public administrations. In this general context, the debate opened in the Basque Country concerning the payment or tax for mountain rescues is only an example to be consider.
Environmental Law & liability, and also Public Law in general are issues to be analysed at domestic and international levels. We will develop as well an open area for the research articles and papers of students of our Faculty of Law (University of the Basque Country).
