Why moral ignorance does not excuse

Abstract
Some hold that a person is not at fault for doing something wrong if she honestly thinks that what she is doing is right. I would like to argue that thinking that what you are doing is right is no excuse and that caring about doing the right thing, if interpreted purely de dicto, is not particularly valuable.
