Au commencement, Dieu cr?a les cieux et la terre.

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

Lurra nahas-mahas hutsa zen: leize handiaren gain ilunpea. Jainkoaren arnasa uren gainean zebilen.

La tierra estaba desordenada y vac?a, las tinieblas estaban sobre la faz del abismo y el esp?ritu de Dios se mov?a sobre la faz de las aguas.

La terre ?tait informe et vide: il y avait des t?n?bres ? la surface de l'ab?me, et l'esprit de Dieu se mouvait au-dessus des eaux.

The earth was without form, and void; and darkness [was] on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.

Eta Jainkoak esan zuen: "Izan bedi argia". Eta izan zen argia.

Dijo Dios: "Sea la luz". Y fue la luz.

Dieu dit: Que la lumi?re soit ! Et la lumi?re fut.

Then God said, "Let there be light"; and there was light.

Ikusi zuen Jainkoak argia ona zela eta bereizi egin zuen ilunpeetatik:

Vio Dios que la luz era buena, y separ? la luz de las tinieblas.

Dieu vit que la lumi?re ?tait bonne; et Dieu s?para la lumi?re d'avec les t?n?bres.

And God saw the light, that [it was] good; and God divided the light from the darkness.

God called the light Day, and the darkness He called Night. So the evening and the morning were the first day.

Luego dijo Dios: "Haya un firmamento en medio de las aguas, para que separe las aguas de las aguas".

Dieu dit: Qu'il y ait une ?tendue entre les eaux, et qu'elle s?pare les eaux d'avec les eaux.

Then God said, "Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters."

Jainkoak sabaia egin zuen eta sabai azpiko urak sabai gainekoetatik bereizi zituen.

E hizo Dios un firmamento que separ? las aguas que estaban debajo del firmamento, de las aguas que estaban sobre el firmamento. Y fue as?.

Et Dieu fit l'?tendue, et il s?para les eaux qui sont au-dessous de l'?tendue d'avec les eaux qui sont au-dessus de l'?tendue. Et cela fut ainsi.

Thus God made the firmament, and divided the waters which [were] under the firmament from the waters which [were] above the firmament; and it was so.

Jainkoak sabaiari "zeru" eman zion izen. Honela, bigarren eguna burutu zen.

Al firmamento llam? Dios "Cielos". Y fue la tarde y la ma?ana del segundo d?a.

Dieu appela l'?tendue ciel. Ainsi, il y eut un soir, et il y eut un matin: ce fut le second jour.

And God called the firmament Heaven. So the evening and the morning were the second day.

Jainkoak esan zuen: "Bil bitez multzoan zeru azpiko urak eta ager bedi lehorra". Eta hala izan zen.

Dijo tambi?n Dios: "Re?nanse las aguas que est?n debajo de los cielos en un solo lugar, para que se descubra lo seco". Y fue as?.

Dieu dit: Que les eaux qui sont au-dessous du ciel se rassemblent en un seul lieu, et que le sec paraisse. Et cela fut ainsi.

Then God said, "Let the waters under the heavens be gathered together into one place, and let the dry [land] appear"; and it was so.

Lehorrari "lur" eman zion izen eta ur-multzoari "itsaso". Eta Jainkoak ona zela ikusi zuen.

A la parte seca llam? Dios "Tierra", y al conjunto de las aguas lo llam? "Mares". Y vio Dios que era bueno.

Dieu appela le sec terre, et il appela l'amas des eaux mers. Dieu vit que cela ?tait bon.

And God called the dry [land] Earth, and the gathering together of the waters He called Seas. And God saw that [it was] good.

Jainkoak esan zuen: "Eman bitza lurrak belar hezea, hazidun landareak eta orotariko fruta-arbolak beren hazi eta guzti". Eta hala izan zen.

Despu?s dijo Dios: "Produzca la tierra hierba verde, hierba que d? semilla; ?rbol que d? fruto seg?n su especie, cuya semilla est? en ?l, sobre la tierra". Y fue as?.

Puis Dieu dit: Que la terre produise de la verdure, de l'herbe portant de la semence, des arbres fruitiers donnant du fruit selon leur esp?ce et ayant en eux leur semence sur la terre. Et cela fut ainsi.

Then God said, "Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb [that] yields seed, [and] the fruit tree [that] yields fruit according to its kind, whose seed [is] in itself, on the earth"; and it was so.

Eta lurrak orotariko hazidun landareak eta fruta-arbolak beren hazi eta guzti eman zituen. Eta Jainkoak ona zela ikusi zuen.

Produjo, pues, la tierra hierba verde, hierba que da semilla seg?n su naturaleza, y ?rbol que da fruto, cuya semilla est? en ?l, seg?n su especie. Y vio Dios que era bueno.

La terre produisit de la verdure, de l'herbe portant de la semence selon son esp?ce, et des arbres donnant du fruit et ayant en eux leur semence selon leur esp?ce. Dieu vit que cela ?tait bon.

And the earth brought forth grass, the herb [that] yields seed according to its kind, and the tree [that] yields fruit, whose seed [is] in itself according to its kind. And God saw that [it was] good.

Honela, hirugarren eguna burutu zen.

Y fue la tarde y la ma?ana del tercer d?a.

Ainsi, il y eut un soir, et il y eut un matin: ce fut le troisi?me jour.

So the evening and the morning were the third day.

Jainkoak esan zuen: "Izan bitez argizagiak zeru-sabaian, eguna eta gaua bereizteko, eta jaiak, egunak eta urteak ezagutarazteko.

Dijo luego Dios: "Haya lumbreras en el firmamento de los cielos para separar el d?a de la noche, que sirvan de se?ales para las estaciones, los d?as y los a?os,

Dieu dit: Qu'il y ait des luminaires dans l'?tendue du ciel, pour s?parer le jour d'avec la nuit; que ce soient des signes pour marquer les ?poques, les jours et les ann?es;

Then God said, "Let there be lights in the firmament of the heavens to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs and seasons, and for days and years;

Izan bitez zeru-sabaian lurrari argi egiteko". Eta hala izan zen.

y sean por lumbreras en el firmamento celeste para alumbrar sobre la tierra". Y fue as?.

et qu'ils servent de luminaires dans l'?tendue du ciel, pour ?clairer la terre. Et cela fut ainsi.

"and let them be for lights in the firmament of the heavens to give light on the earth"; and it was so.

Jainkoak bi argizagi handi egin zituen: handiena egunaren gain jartzeko eta txikiena gauaren gain. Eta izarrak ere egin zituen.

E hizo Dios las dos grandes lumbreras: la lumbrera mayor para que se?oreara en el d?a, y la lumbrera menor para que se?oreara en la noche; e hizo tambi?n las estrellas.

Dieu fit les deux grands luminaires, le plus grand luminaire pour pr?sider au jour, et le plus petit luminaire pour pr?sider ? la nuit; il fit aussi les ?toiles.

Then God made two great lights: the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night. [He made] the stars also.

Zeru-sabaian ezarri zituen lurrari argi egiteko,

Las puso Dios en el firmamento de los cielos para alumbrar sobre la tierra,

Dieu les pla?a dans l'?tendue du ciel, pour ?clairer la terre,

God set them in the firmament of the heavens to give light on the earth,

and to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness. And God saw that [it was] good.

Honela, laugarren eguna burutu zen.

Y fue la tarde y la ma?ana del cuarto d?a.

Ainsi, il y eut un soir, et il y eut un matin: ce fut le quatri?me jour.

So the evening and the morning were the fourth day.

Jainkoak esan zuen: "Egin bezate urek borbor bizidunez; egin bezate hegan hegaztiek lurraren gainean, airean".

Dijo Dios: "Produzcan las aguas seres vivientes, y aves que vuelen sobre la tierra, en el firmamento de los cielos".

Dieu dit: Que les eaux produisent en abondance des animaux vivants, et que des oiseaux volent sur la terre vers l'?tendue du ciel.

Then God said, "Let the waters abound with an abundance of living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth across the face of the firmament of the heavens."

Jainkoak itsas arraintzarrak sortu zituen, uretan borbor dabiltzan orotariko bizidunak eta orotariko hegaztiak. Eta Jainkoak ona zela ikusi zuen.

Y cre? Dios los grandes monstruos marinos y todo ser viviente que se mueve, que las aguas produjeron seg?n su especie, y toda ave alada seg?n su especie. Y vio Dios que era bueno.

Dieu cr?a les grands poissons et tous les animaux vivants qui se meuvent, et que les eaux produisirent en abondance selon leur esp?ce; il cr?a aussi tout oiseau ail? selon son esp?ce. Dieu vit que cela ?tait bon.

So God created great sea creatures and every living thing that moves, with which the waters abounded, according to their kind, and every winged bird according to its kind. And God saw that [it was] good.

Eta bedeinkatu egin zituen, esanez: "Sor itzazue umeak, ugaldu eta bete itsas urak; ugal bitez hegaztiak ere lurraren gainean".

Y los bendijo Dios, diciendo: "Fructificad y multiplicaos, llenad las aguas en los mares y multipl?quense las aves en la tierra".

Dieu les b?nit, en disant: Soyez f?conds, multipliez, et remplissez les eaux des mers; et que les oiseaux multiplient sur la terre.

And God blessed them, saying, "Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let birds multiply on the earth."

Honela, bosgarren eguna burutu zen.

Y fue la tarde y la ma?ana del quinto d?a.

Ainsi, il y eut un soir, et il y eut un matin: ce fut le cinqui?me jour.

So the evening and the morning were the fifth day.

Jainkoak esan zuen: "Eman bitza lurrak orotariko bizidunak: abereak, piztiak eta narrastiak". Eta hala izan zen.

Luego dijo Dios: "Produzca la tierra seres vivientes seg?n su especie: bestias, serpientes y animales de la tierra seg?n su especie". Y fue as?.

Dieu dit: Que la terre produise des animaux vivants selon leur esp?ce, du b?tail, des reptiles et des animaux terrestres, selon leur esp?ce. Et cela fut ainsi.

Then God said, "Let the earth bring forth the living creature according to its kind: cattle and creeping thing and beast of the earth, [each] according to its kind"; and it was so.

Jainkoak orotariko bizidunak sortu zituen: abereak, piztiak eta narrastiak. Eta Jainkoak ona zela ikusi zuen.

E hizo Dios los animales de la tierra seg?n su especie, ganado seg?n su especie y todo animal que se arrastra sobre la tierra seg?n su especie. Y vio Dios que era bueno.

Dieu fit les animaux de la terre selon leur esp?ce, le b?tail selon son esp?ce, et tous les reptiles de la terre selon leur esp?ce. Dieu vit que cela ?tait bon.

And God made the beast of the earth according to its kind, cattle according to its kind, and everything that creeps on the earth according to its kind. And God saw that [it was] good.

Jainkoak esan zuen: "Egin dezagun gizakia; izan bedi gure antzeko, gure irudiko; menpera ditzala itsasoko arrainak, zeruko hegaztiak, abereak, basapiztiak eta lurrean narrasta dabiltzan piztia guztiak".

Entonces dijo Dios: "Hagamos al hombre a nuestra imagen, conforme a nuestra semejanza; y tenga potestad sobre los peces del mar, las aves de los cielos y las bestias, sobre toda la tierra y sobre todo animal que se arrastra sobre la tierra".

Puis Dieu dit: Faisons l'homme ? notre image, selon notre ressemblance, et qu'il domine sur les poissons de la mer, sur les oiseaux du ciel, sur le b?tail, sur toute la terre, et sur tous les reptiles qui rampent sur la terre.

Then God said, "Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth."

Jainkoak, beraz, bere antzeko egin zuen gizakia, Jainkoaren beraren irudira egin zuen; ar eta eme egin zituen.

Y cre? Dios al hombre a su imagen, a imagen de Dios lo cre?; var?n y hembra los cre?.

Dieu cr?a l'homme ? son image, il le cr?a ? l'image de Dieu, il cr?a l'homme et la femme.

So God created man in His [own] image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.

Eta bedeinkatu egin zituen, esanez: "Sor itzazue umeak eta ugaldu, bete lurra eta izan haren nagusi; menpera itzazue itsasoko arrainak, zeruko hegaztiak eta lurrean narrasta dabiltzan piztia guztiak".

Los bendijo Dios y les dijo: "Fructificad y multiplicaos; llenad la tierra y sometedla; ejerced potestad sobre los peces del mar, las aves de los cielos y todas las bestias que se mueven sobre la tierra".

Dieu les b?nit, et Dieu leur dit: Soyez f?conds, multipliez, remplissez la terre, et l'assujettissez; et dominez sur les poissons de la mer, sur les oiseaux du ciel, et sur tout animal qui se meut sur la terre.

Then God blessed them, and God said to them, "Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth."

Jainkoak esan zien: "Hara, zeuei ematen dizkizuet lur-azalean diren hazidun landare guztiak eta hazidun fruta-arbola guztiak; horiek izango dituzue janari.

Despu?s dijo Dios: "Mirad, os he dado toda planta que da semilla, que est? sobre toda la tierra, as? como todo ?rbol en que hay fruto y da semilla. De todo esto podr?is comer.

Et Dieu dit: Voici, je vous donne toute herbe portant de la semence et qui est ? la surface de toute la terre, et tout arbre ayant en lui du fruit d'arbre et portant de la semence: ce sera votre nourriture.

And God said, "See, I have given you every herb [that] yields seed which [is] on the face of all the earth, and every tree whose fruit yields seed; to you it shall be for food.

Abere, zeruko hegazti eta lurrean narrasta dabiltzan bizidun guztiei, berriz, belar hezea ematen diet janari". Eta hala izan zen.

"Pero a toda bestia de la tierra, a todas las aves de los cielos y a todo lo que tiene vida y se arrastra sobre la tierra, les doy toda planta verde para comer". Y fue as?.

Et ? tout animal de la terre, ? tout oiseau du ciel, et ? tout ce qui se meut sur la terre, ayant en soi un souffle de vie, je donne toute herbe verte pour nourriture. Et cela fut ainsi.

"Also, to every beast of the earth, to every bird of the air, and to everything that creeps on the earth, in which [there is] life, [I have given] every green herb for food"; and it was so.

Eta egin zuen guztia oso ona zela ikusi zuen Jainkoak. Honela, seigarren eguna burutu zen.

Y vio Dios todo cuanto hab?a hecho, y era bueno en gran manera. Y fue la tarde y la ma?ana del sexto d?a.

Dieu vit tout ce qu 'il avait fait et voici, cela ?tait tr?s bon. Ainsi, il y eut un soir, et il y eut un matin: ce fut le sixi?me jour.

Then God saw everything that He had made, and indeed [it was] very good. So the evening and the morning were the sixth day.

Honela burutu zituen Jainkoak zeru-lurrak, berauetan dagoen guztiarekin.

Fueron, pues, acabados los cielos y la tierra, y todo lo que hay en ellos.

Ainsi furent achev?s les cieux et la terre, et toute leur arm?e.

Thus the heavens and the earth, and all the host of them, were finished.

Zazpigarren egunerako burutu zuen Jainkoak berak eginiko lana eta zazpigarren egunean lanari utzi,

El s?ptimo d?a concluy? Dios la obra que hizo, y repos? el s?ptimo d?a de todo cuanto hab?a hecho.

Dieu acheva au septi?me jour son oeuvre, qu'il avait faite: et il se reposa au septi?me jour de toute son oeuvre, qu'il avait faite.

And on the seventh day God ended His work which He had done, and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had done.

eta bedeinkatu egin zuen zazpigarren eguna eta sagaratu, egun horretan hartu baitzuen atseden kreazio-lanetik.

Entonces bendijo Dios el s?ptimo d?a y lo santific?, porque en ?l repos? de toda la obra que hab?a hecho en la creaci?n.

Then God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it, because in it He rested from all His work which God had created and made.

Hau da zeru-lurren kreazioaren historia. Jainko Jaunak zeru-lurrak egin zituenean,

Estos son los or?genes de los cielos y de la tierra cuando fueron creados. Cuando Jehov? Dios hizo la tierra y los cielos,

Voici les origines des cieux et de la terre, quand ils furent cr??s. Lorsque l'?ternel Dieu fit une terre et des cieux,

This [is] the history of the heavens and the earth when they were created, in the day that the LORD God made the earth and the heavens,

ez zegoen oraindik landarerik lurrean, ezta belarrik ere erneta, Jainko Jaunak ez baitzion oraindik lurrari euririk eman, eta ez baitzen lurra lantzeko gizakirik.

a?n no hab?a ninguna planta del campo sobre la tierra ni hab?a nacido ninguna hierba del campo, porque Jehov? Dios todav?a no hab?a hecho llover sobre la tierra ni hab?a hombre para que labrara la tierra,

aucun arbuste des champs n'?tait encore sur la terre, et aucune herbe des champs ne germait encore: car l'?ternel Dieu n'avait pas fait pleuvoir sur la terre, et il n'y avait point d'homme pour cultiver le sol.

before any plant of the field was in the earth and before any herb of the field had grown. For the LORD God had not caused it to rain on the earth, and [there was] no man to till the ground;

Hala ere, lur-azala hezetzen zuen lurruna zerion lurrari.

sino que sub?a de la tierra un vapor que regaba toda la faz de la tierra.

Mais une vapeur s'?leva de la terre, et arrosa toute la surface du sol.

but a mist went up from the earth and watered the whole face of the ground.

Orduan, Jainko Jaunak lur-hautsez gizona moldatu zuen; sudur-zuloetan bizi-arnasa putz egin zion, eta gizona bizidun bilakatu zen.

Entonces Jehov? Dios form? al hombre del polvo de la tierra, sopl? en su nariz aliento de vida y fue el hombre un ser viviente.

L'?ternel Dieu forma l'homme de la poussi?re de la terre, il souffla dans ses narines un souffle de vie et l'homme devint un ?tre vivant.

And the LORD God formed man [of] the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being.

Ondoren, Jainko Jaunak baratzea landatu zuen Edenen, ekialdean, eta hantxe ezarri moldaturiko gizona.

Jehov? Dios plant? un huerto en Ed?n, al oriente, y puso all? al hombre que hab?a formado.

The LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden, and there He put the man whom He had formed.

Orotariko zuhaitzak sortarazi zituen lurretik, ikusgarriak eta fruitu gozodunak. Baratze erdian bi zuhaitz ernearazi zituen: batak bizia ematen zuen eta besteak dena ezagutzeko ahalmena.

E hizo Jehov? Dios nacer de la tierra todo ?rbol delicioso a la vista y bueno para comer; tambi?n el ?rbol de la vida en medio del huerto, y el ?rbol del conocimiento del bien y del mal.

L'?ternel Dieu fit pousser du sol des arbres de toute esp?ce, agr?ables ? voir et bons ? manger, et l'arbre de la vie au milieu du jardin, et l'arbre de la connaissance du bien et du mal.

And out of the ground the LORD God made every tree grow that is pleasant to the sight and good for food. The tree of life [was] also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.

Now a river went out of Eden to water the garden, and from there it parted and became four riverheads.

El primero se llama Pis?n; es el que rodea toda la tierra de Havila, donde hay oro.

Le nom du premier est Pischon; c'est celui qui entoure tout le pays de Havila, o? se trouve l'or.

The name of the first [is] Pishon; it [is] the one which skirts the whole land of Havilah, where [there is] gold.

Urre ona hangoa; badira han erretxina eta harribitxiak ere.

El oro de aquella tierra es bueno; y hay all? tambi?n bedelio y ?nice.

L'or de ce pays est pur; on y trouve aussi le bdellium et la pierre d'onyx.

And the gold of that land [is] good. Bdellium and the onyx stone [are] there.

Bigarrenari Gihon zeritzan; honek Etiopiako lurralde guztia inguratzen du.

El segundo r?o se llama Gih?n; es el que rodea toda la tierra de Cus.

Le nom du second fleuve est Guihon; c'est celui qui entoure tout le pays de Cusch.

The name of the second river [is] Gihon; it [is] the one which goes around the whole land of Cush.

Hirugarrenari Tigris, Axurko ekialdetik doana. Laugarrenari Eufrates.

El tercer r?o se llama Hidekel; es el que va al oriente de Asiria. El cuarto r?o es el ?ufrates.

Le nom du troisi?me est Hidd?kel; c'est celui qui coule ? l'orient de l'Assyrie. Le quatri?me fleuve, c'est l'Euphrate.

The name of the third river [is] Hiddekel; it [is] the one which goes toward the east of Assyria. The fourth river [is] the Euphrates.

Jainko Jaunak gizona hartu eta Edengo baratzean ezarri zuen, landu eta zain zezan.

Tom?, pues, Jehov? Dios al hombre y lo puso en el huerto de Ed?n, para que lo labrara y lo cuidara.

L'?ternel Dieu prit l'homme, et le pla?a dans le jardin d'?den pour le cultiver et pour le garder.

Then the LORD God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to tend and keep it.

Eta agindu zion: "Baratzeko zuhaitz guztietatik jan dezakezu;

Y mand? Jehov? Dios al hombre, diciendo: "De todo ?rbol del huerto podr?s comer;

L'?ternel Dieu donna cet ordre ? l'homme: Tu pourras manger de tous les arbres du jardin;

And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, "Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat;

baina ez jan dena ezagutzeko ahalmena ematen duen zuhaitzetik; hartatik jaten baduzu, hil egingo zara".

pero del ?rbol del conocimiento del bien y del mal no comer?s, porque el d?a que de ?l comas, ciertamente morir?s".

"but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die."

Gero, esan zuen Jainko Jaunak: "Ez da on gizona bakarrik egotea; egin diezaiodan berari dagokion laguna".

Despu?s dijo Jehov? Dios: "No es bueno que el hombre est? solo: le har? ayuda id?nea para ?l".

L'?ternel Dieu dit: Il n'est pas bon que l'homme soit seul; je lui ferai une aide semblable ? lui.

And the LORD God said, "[It is] not good that man should be alone; I will make him a helper comparable to him."

Jainko Jaunak, landako abere guztiak eta zeruko hegazti guztiak lurrez moldatu eta gizonari eraman zizkion zein izen ezartzen zien ikusteko; honela, bizidun orok gizonak ezarritako izena izango zuen.
