Let’s innovate together!

The Faculty of Education of Bilbao at the University of the Basque Country warmly invites academic staff and professors from universities around the world to participate in the International Week 2027.

This initiative aims to foster academic collaboration, intercultural exchange, and professional networking among higher education institutions. The week will provide a collaborative environment for sharing research, innovative teaching methodologies, and best practices in teacher education and higher education.

With a maximum of 25 participants, the program is designed to encourage meaningful interaction, dialogue, and the development of future collaborative projects.

A comprehensive program is currently being prepared around the following themes:

The Basque Educational System

Participants will gain insight into the organization and functioning of both the Basque non-university and university educational systems, with particular attention to multilingual education and teacher training.

Educational Innovation in Contemporary Contexts

The program will include discussions and workshops focused on current perspectives on educational innovation and its implications for schools and universities.

Research Collaboration

Specific networking spaces will be created to identify shared research interests and explore possible collaborations in educational innovation and teacher education.

International Mobility and Cooperation

Participants will reflect on ways to promote and strengthen mobility initiatives between institutions, including student mobility, staff exchanges, and joint international activities.

Language

The working language of the event will be English.

Registration Fee

Participation is free of charge.

Please note that travel and accommodation expenses are not included. However, these costs may be eligible for Erasmus+ or other international mobility funding schemes through the sending institution.

For Erasmus+ mobilities, participants are kindly asked to take into account the existing mobility agreements between our universities (number of places available, mobility modalities, and other institutional conditions).

Accommodation & Transport

Recommendations and assistance regarding accommodation and transport will be available upon request.
