I defended my PhD in May 2014 at the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU) on phase transitions in ferroelectrics, within the framework of Landau Theory and DFT. Afterwards I held a series of postdoctoral appointments: I was part of the Dielectrics department at the Institute of Physics of the CAS in Prague to study phonon instabilities in multiferroics; then I moved to the Italian Institute of Technology in Genoa, first joining the Quantum Materials Theory group to study domain walls in ferroelectrics, and subsequently the Nanochemistry group to study light emission in nanocrystals by DFT. Before returning to the UPV/EHU as a María Zambrano researcher in 2022, I worked for two years as a postdoc in the CAMD group at the Technical University of Denmark. In the recent years I have extended my research scope towards materials with non-trivial topological phases. Since March 2024 I am an assistant professor at the Department of Applied Mathematics (UPV/EHU).
