Rosa María Río Belver (University of the Basque Country UPV/EHU, Spain)
Rosa María Río-Belver has a PhD in Industrial Engineering, specializing in Organization. MSc in Environmental Sciences and Technology (UPV/EHU) and Msc in Innovation Management (AENOR). She is a University professor at the University of the Basque Country UPV/EHU; teaching subjects such as Operations Research, Industrial and Technological Politics and Competitiveness-Innovation. Her main research interests are focused on innovation management, competitive intelligence, technology maps, emerging technologies, tech mining, knowledge engineering, and foresight. She is the author of numerous papers and is involved in national and European projects.

Javier Fernandez Aguirrebeña (University of the Basque Country UPV/EHU, Spain)
Industrial Engineer and Title of Research Sufficiency (Diploma of Advanced Studies DEA) from the University of the Basque Country. Currently his teaching activity as part-time Associate Professor focuses on the area of Quality Management teaching in all editions of the Master in Industrial Organization Engineering (MIOI) since its inception in Sep/2015 with the subject Quality applied to business management. For 13 years, he has also taught in the last course of the higher cycle of Industrial Organization Engineering, tutoring more than 40 Final Degree Projects. He also continues to teach Production Simulation laboratory practices to all undergraduate students at the Vitoria School of Engineering as part of the Production Organization course. In his professional activity, he has been part of the aeronautical group Aernnova since 1996, having performed different functions mainly oriented to the direct relationship with international customers.

Aitor Ruiz de la Torre (University of the Basque Country UPV/EHU, Spain)
Aitor Ruiz de la Torre has a PhD Programme in Advanced Management in Organizations and Social Economy. MSc in Business Administration. Actually professor in Vitoria-Gasteiz School of Engineering at the University of the Basque Country UPV/EHU; teaching subjects such as Statistical methods in the automotive industry, Quality and Logistics, Company Management and Production (including simulation and laboratory practices in all engineering faculty degrees). Before joining the university, he worked at Fagor Arrasate for more than 8 years, developing his activity in the areas of purchasing and logistics in the manufacturing plants of Spain and China.

JOSÉ ANTONIO MUIÑA DONO (Simulation Success Specialist-FlexSim Iberia, Spain)
He is a graduate in Industrial Technologies Engineering since 2015 and in 2017 he obtained the Master in Industrial Engineering at the University of A Coruña. He has worked as a researcher at the university, focusing his activity on the M&S of industrial processes, with several publications in national and international journals and conferences. Since 2019 he has been working as a consultant, using simulation to analyse processes for clients in different sectors: automotive, logistics, food, etc.

Dr. LUCA GUALTIERI (Postdoc at Smart Mini Factory lab, Free University of Bolzano, Italy)
Luca Gualtieri holds a Ph.D. in industrial collaborative robotics at the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano and is a certified Occupational Health and Safety Manager and Trainer specialized on safety of machinery. He is working in the Smart Mini Factory lab as research fellow for the Industrial Engineering and Automation (IEA) group of the Faculty of Science and Technology, Free University of Bozen-Bolzano. He is responsible for research in the field of industrial collaborative robotics. In particular, he is focusing on human–robot interaction from the point of view of the operator’s occupational health and safety, ergonomics, and shared workplace organization. He participated in many European-funded project calls as well as collaborating with private companies in industrial projects.
IW Erwin Rauch
Prof. Erwin Rauch received his B.Sc. in Logistics and Production Engineering from the Free University in Bolzano (Italy). He also holds a M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from the Technical University Munich (TUM) and a M.Sc. in Business Administration from the TUM Business School. He obtained his Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Stuttgart with summa cum laude. Currently he is an Associate Professor for Manufacturing Technology and Systems at the Free University of Bolzano. In addition he is the Head of the Smart Mini Factory laboratory for Industry 4.0. He is also the author of over 200 scientific contributions and an expert/member of various associations and organisations (Associate Member EuroScience, Expert Group World Manufacturing Forum, EPIEM Steering Board).

Dott. Chiara Nezzi is a PhD student and research fellow at the Free University of Bolzano. Since July 2022, she is working as a research fellow for the Smart Mini Factory Laboratory on the topic of Digital Twin-based applications for the optimization of energy efficiency of machinery and for virtual commissioning. She concluded both her Bachelor’s degree and Master’s degree in Industrial and Mechanical Engineering at the Free University of Bozen, respectively in 2018 and in 2020. From 2020 to 2022, she successfully attended the state examination for the qualification as professional engineer (section A) at the University of Parma; she worked as external collaborator with the Smart Mini Factory of the Free University of Bozen in the context of a project commissioned by a South-Tyrolean company and she was also holder of an annual research grant about the topic of sustainability applied to the building sector. Lastly, she gained experience in academic teaching with a course in Technical Drawing – CAD.
