I am an Associate Professor at the University of the Basque Country (EHU), with accredited six-year research (2015-2021) and five-year teaching track record. (2017-2021). I am currently the principal researcher of the AKTIBA-IT research lab at the EHU. My academic work focuses on ethnographic studies of education, particularly teaching practices, identity, and minority languages in multilingual contexts. I have led interdisciplinary projects, conducted international research stays, and consistently explored linguistic and cultural diversity in education through socially engaged, context-sensitive research.

My work within the ENLIGHT IDenti-T network focuses on the interactive conceptualization of identity in multidisciplinary environments, from both a theoretical and potentially empirical perspective.

To date, my research has concentrated on equity in multicultural and multilingual educational settings, approached through an ethnographic lens. I have contributed to the understanding of identity by examining acrimonious interactions around language learning and multilingualism, and I have explored practical recommendations to address these conflicts, producing policy and practice-oriented reports. In addition, I have developed educational materials, so my expertise extends to the design of teaching resources and approaches aimed at fostering mutual understanding of social and structural relationships in contemporary European societies.
