Maider Zilbeti researcher

Maider Zilbeti holds a PhD in Social Anthropology and the Philosophy of Values (University of the Basque Country, 2016). She was awarded the Micaela Portilla Prize for Feminist or Gender Studies in recognition of the best doctoral dissertation.

Since 2021, she has been a lecturer and researcher in the Department of Social Anthropology and Philosophy at the University of the Basque Country. She teaches in the Master’s Degree in Equality between Women and Men and Equality Agents (University of the Basque Country), and since 2023 she has also been a member of its Academic Committee.

She is a member of the Aktiba IT research group, where she held a postdoctoral contract within the Gi2030 project (2022-2023). She is currently a researcher in the project “Community Spaces in Collaborative Housing” at the School of Architecture of the University of the Basque Country.

She has carried out several international research stays and has taught at DePaul University (Department of Sociology, Chicago), the Center for Research and Teaching in Economics (CIDE) (Division of Legal Studies, Mexico City), and the National Autonomous University of Mexico (Faculty of Economics, Mexico City).

Her main research lines include education and interculturality, as well as feminist methodologies and epistemologies.
