Graduated in Economics, University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU) in 1989. PhD in Economics, UPV/EHU, in 2005 (prize of doctorate and european mention). As associate professor, teaches in the Faculty of Economics and Business (Sarriko) since 1999. In the second academic semester of 2016, she spent a stay as a "visiting scholar" at Stanford University, USA.
Has participated in 30 research projects. Coauthor of 18 published research articles and participated in 53 internacional conferences. In the term 2017-2021 she was General Secretary of the Association of Southern-European Economic Theorists (ASSET). She has 3 "sexenios" of research awarded by the Comisión Nacional Evaluadora de la Actividad Investigadora (CNEAI).
Her lines of research focus on Microeconomics, Game Theory and Economic Networks.
