Graduate in Pharmacy and after completing a master's degree in "Synthetic and Industrial Chemistry", she obtained a PhD in Pharmacy from the UPV/EHU (2012). She was hired by the UPV-EHU as temporary staff in the Department of Organic Chemistry I (2011), in 2015 she obtained a position as Assistant Professor and in 2022 she obtained a position as Associate Professor. She participates as professor in some degrees such as Pharmacy, Human Nutrition and Dietetics, Food Science and Technology, in the Double Degree in Pharmacy and Human Nutrition and Dietetics and also in the Interuniversity Master's Degree in Synthetic and Industrial Chemistry. Is an elected member of the Basque Commission of the Faculty of Pharmacy (UPV/EHU).
She has participated in 12 financed research projects, has co-authored 13 scientific articles and has submitted papers to numerous national and international conferences. She is currently supervising two doctoral thesis and has two six-year periods recognised by the CNEAI. Her research deals with the synthesis of heterocyclic compounds with activity as enzyme inhibitors and antiproliferative agents.
