Engineer (1996) and doctor of telecommunications engineering (2004) from the University of the Basque Country, where he works since 1999. He researches in the field of electronic systems and the CNEAI has recognized him for 3 six-year research periods. He is a member of the Applied Electronics Research Team (APERT), group A of the Basque system of universities, and has been a visiting researcher at the Ecole Supérieure des Technologies Industrielles Avancées (ESTIA), in Bidart (France) for 4 months in 2007-2008. He has participated in a multitude of research projects, both with public and private funding and, as a result of the research carried out in them, he has published numerous contributions, both in journals and in conferences, of which 65 are indexed in the Web of Science, with a total of 347 citations (excluding self-citations). His h-index is 11. In addition, he has directed 2 doctoral theses and is co-author of 3 patents.
