Ane Miren García Romero is currently an Academic (Profesor Agregado) at the University of the Basque Country, UPV / EHU, where she incorporated in October 2005. Previously, from 1988 until joining the University, she worked in the Inasmet, a Materials R&D Technology Center, where she worked as Researcher and Project Manager in the areas of metal matrix composite materials and foundry processes. Presently, her research line deals with the development and optimization of phase change materials for thermal energy storage solutions, and the study of these solutions. She is incorporated in the consolidated research-team ENEDI, where she is principal researcher in various projects. Her research curriculum includes the direction and management of several European and National projects obtained in competitive calls, the co-authorship of more than 30 articles published in high-impact journals, as well as the supervision and direction of several doctoral theses.



She usually teaches materials science related subjects, both in introductory courses and in specialized master courses, such us Metallic Materials, Phase change materials for energy storage, or Introduction to Materials Science, both in the Spanish language and in English. Likewise, she has supervised a large number of Final Degree Projects and Final Master Projects.
