Description and Contextualization of the SubjectToggle Navigation

The Final Year Project (FYP) is an individual work carried out by the student under the supervision of one or more directors and where the student makes us of the capacities, competencies and skills acquired during the teaching period of the Degree. The FYP can be accomplished entirely in the faculty or in a company.

The Final Year Project must be performed within the specialty chosen in the degree studies. Therefore, it will be framed in one of these three specialties:

-Computer Engineering

-Computing

-Software engineering

The Final Year Project must be oriented towards the application of the general competences associated with the degree, to train for the search, management, organization and interpretation of relevant data and results. Specifically, the main objective is to consolidate the competences and skills achieved in the degree based on the practical application of them. To this end, a consistent work will be carried out including the analysis of a problem related to academic training in their studies and specialty, the design and, where appropriate, the implementation, of a suitable solution.

During the project, the following skills will be developed and verified:

1.Achieve the objectives proposed in the work solving autonomously the difficulties that arise in their development.

2.Plan and manage the work to be done.

3.Write a report that exhaustively collects the work carried out with a structure appropriate to an engineering working document and in a rigorous and formal style.

4.Publicly expose and defend the work done.

MethodologyToggle Navigation

The supervisor will expose to the student the characteristics of the work, guiding the student in the development of the work and ensuring compliance with the objectives set.

The student will instead be responsible for carrying out the work. Regular meetings are planned between directors and students to achieve the objectives.

Ordinary Call: Orientations and DisclaimerToggle Navigation

During the course there are 4 calls: in November, January, July and September. Precise dates are published in the web site of the Faculty.

Student has the right to attend two of them as in any other subject. The student must request to participate in a particular call through GAUR and the supervisor of the work has to approve it.
