Description

The Group of Matrix Analysis and Applications (GAMA) of the University of the Basque Country UPV/EHU is formed by 8 researchers: 7 from this university and 1 from the Polytechnic University of Valencia. This group is the result of the evolution of a team that has been working uninterrupted in research since 1981. The main field of interest for GAMA is Matrix Analysis with applications to Mathematical Control and Perturbation Theory. Inverse problems concerning the study of invariants of partially known matrices and systems and how those invariants are modified by small perturbations on matrices have been the main topics where the members of GAMA have obtained their most important results.

Lines of Research

  1. Study of the structure of control systems and matrices.
  2. Spectral perturbation of matrices and linear systems.
