First publication date: 17/06/2014

The University of the Basque Country joins the "Hodei Egiluz Missing" campaign to help with the search efforts of the young Basque man who disappeared in Antwerp on October 19, 2013 and will disseminate the webpage www.hodei-missing.com through the official University website.  This site has been recently created by the family of the young computer engineer and the University of Deusto, aiming to become a center of information and international broadcasting on the case of Hodei Egiluz and to encourage the continuation of the search and investigation. The www.hodei-missing.com webpage will also share information on all the initiatives and events being held anywhere around the world with the objective that the case stay active and in the minds of the international society.

The "Hodei Egiluz Missing" campaign shows its content in Spanish, Basque, English, French, German and Dutch and allows you to write reviews about Hodei, and even offer testimony of potential witnesses on the day of the disappearance or thereafter. People entering the website will find a photograph of Hodei in order to share it on social networks and, if desired, print and post at any location, thus contributing to spreading the image and the case of the missing person. Hodei's family considers this vitally important especially in areas of Brussels, the Netherlands and other neighboring countries, where the case is not as well known as it is in Antwerp and the Basque Country. Therefore, the University of the Basque Country will contact local students who are about to travel to Belgium and nearby areas in the framework of the Erasmus program to encourage them to participate in the distribution of posters and the dissemination of this website in their respective destinations.
