- Physiopathology of lipid metabolism and VLDL secretion.
- Function and expression regulation of SND1 oncogene. SND1 is a transcriptional coactivator with multiple functions linked to gene expression control and it is upregulated in a variety of tumors. A feature of tumor cells is their metabolism reorganization through transcriptional reprograming. Analyze the relevance of SND1 as a transcriptional regulator for glycerolipid metabolism and identify the target genes of SND1 in hepatocellular carcinoma are our main objectives. In addition, the characterization of the regulatory elements and the transcription factors acting on SND1 gene promoter will provide new knowledge about the molecular mechanism for controlling the expression of SND1 under pathologic conditions.
