Degree in Biochemistry and PhD from the University of the Basque Country with a recognition of euskara (UPV/EHU). She obtained a Predoctoral Fellowship for the training of research personnel (UPV/EHU).

She has been teaching at different degrees in the Faculty of Science and Technology, Faculty of Medicine and Nursing and currently, her teaching activity is developed on the Faculty of Pharmacy in the degrees of Pharmacy, Food Science and Technology and Environmental Sciences.

She has also worked in different lines of research both in the University and in the biotechnological company. Her research activity is currently being carried out in the Department of Immunology, Microbiology and Parasitology in the group Candidiasis and other human infections associated with microbial biofilms (GIC 15 78 IT 990-16) catalogued as Consolidated Research Group type A of the Basque University System (https://www.ehu.eus/canbio). She has participated in 14 research projects, four of them with companies, from which several publications, a book chapter and communications in national and international congresses have derived. She has co-directed three master theses and three degree ending projects.

She participates in scientific outreach activities and has been Scientific Coordinator of the Bizilabe project, a research centre in leisure spaces aimed at young people.
