The Sgiker Scientometrics Unit presented a paper on “Publishing Without Dying in the Attempt” at the 11th Doctoral Conference on Economics and Business of the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU), held on October 30 and 31 at the Faculty of Economics and Business of the UPV/EHU in Sarriko (Bilbao). In the session, Scientometrics technician Fátima Pastor addressed various aspects related to scientific production, such as the need to publish, quality indicators, the requirements of open science, predatory publishers and journals, institutional affiliation, and the responsible use of Artificial Intelligence tools in research.

Also participating in the Conference were Jesús Barrena Martínez, Professor in the Department of Business Organization at the University of Cádiz; Juan Prieto Rodríguez, Professor of Economics at the University of Oviedo; and José Luis Oreiro, Associate Professor at the University of Brasilia.

Over the course of the two days, doctoral students in Business Management, Economics, Finance and Economic Integration presented an advance of their doctoral theses to their directors and tutors, submitting their research to review by their peers and experts.
