The SGIker participate in the XV International Forum on Evaluation of the Quality of Research and Higher Education (FECIES), held in Santander (May 10th-12th, 2018) (24/05/2018)

Yolanda Etxebarria Larraz and Fátima Pastor Ruiz, Infrastructure and Scientology technicinas of the General Research Services (SGIker), have attended the XV FECIES Forum, from May 10th to 12th, 2017, organized by the University of Granada and the Spanish Association of Behavioral Psychology, and held at the Palacio de la Magdalena in Santander, with the participation of representatives of official research evaluation bodies, as well as members of national and international universities.

In this forum they had the opportunity to know, firsthand, the problems of the universities in their accreditation and quality processes; as well as the criteria and evaluation processes of the research sections (sexenios) and the accreditation of the university teaching staff. For the event, took part on the conferences, among others, Marina Villegas, Director of the State Agency of Investigation (AEI); Victoria Ley, Chief of the Coordination, Evaluation and Scientific-Technical Monitoring Division; Julio Bravo, Chief of the Branch of the Division of Coordination, Evaluation and Scientific-Technical Follow-up; and Demetrio Castro, former General Coordinator of the National Commission for the Evaluation of the Research Activity (CNEAI) and the National Agency for the Evaluation of Quality and Accreditation (ANECA).

In addition to attending the international meeting FECIES in which theydealt with different topics related to the evaluation of research, the State Research Plan 2017-2020, the structure and functioning of the AEI, the optimization of resources in university libraries, the publication in impact journals, project management and the different plans that Spanish universities have to promote research, quality and European Convergence, the SGIker participated by presenting two scientific posters; one on "The Doctoral Theses supported by the Sgiker Platforms of the University of the Basque Country are aligned with the Horizon 2020 Program" and, another, around the "Main mobile applications for research".
