The Advanced Research Facilities (SGIker) for the first time in the XII week of science

First publication date: 13/11/2012

The Science Week is an activity aimed at the general public to make available to the public various scientific topics and issues of interest and concern, showing its application to everyday activities.

The Advanced Research Facilities (SGIker) have shown experiments and activities carried out in their laboratories in a didactic and affordable way.

The Science Week is celebrated with annual rate in the three Basque provinces. The SGIker attended, with its own stand, in the Alhóndiga recint between days 7th and 11th, November, where an extensive program of experiments, activities and talks showed the different research groups of the UPV / EHU and the activities which they make.

Thus it has renewed the knowledge that ordinary people may have about scientific issues and has encouraged their participation in each of the experiments shown. All this adds to any stimulus that can encourage scientific vocations of today's youth to become future scientists.
