Dr. López is Senior Lecturer in Labour and Social Security Law at the University of the Basque Country/Euskal Herriko Unibertsitatea and has been teaching at Labour Relations and Social Work Faculty (Leioa Campus) since 1994.

Her teaching and research work has focused mainly on the prevention of occupational risks, equality between women and men, and the relationship between both subjects. As a result, she has made contributions in the form of monographs, articles and participations in collective works.

She has participated and continues to participate in research projects (MINECO and UPV/EHU) and takes part of the research group GIU18/082 of the UPV/EHU.

She has collaborated with autonomous bodies, such as Emakunde and Osalan, by drawing up reports and protocols against sexual harassment and gender-based harassment, participating as a speaker at conferences organised by both bodies and preparing teaching material; she has given courses on occupational risk prevention with a gender perspective, equality plans and sexual and gender-based harassment in different companies; and she has participated as speaker for several organisations.

Currently, in addition to teaching and research, she is the director of the (official) Master's Degree in Human Resources and Employment Management at the UPV/EHU.
