Short bibliography
Magalie Baudrimont, Professor of Ecotoxicology at the University of Bordeaux, is working on the characterization of the toxic impacts of metal trace elements, nanoparticles and nanoplastics on aquatic organisms (algae, bivalves, fish from fresh or marine environments). She has an expertise in experimental and field approaches in ecotoxicology. She is especially working on the mechanisms of bioaccumulation and detoxification of metals and nanoparticles, and on their mechanisms of action at the molecular, cellular and organism levels by techniques of transcriptomics, biochemical analyzes of proteins and physiological or behavioral responses.
Magalie Baudrimont was deputy-director of the UMR EPOC 5805 laboratory from 2016 to 2019, then the deputy-director of the Environmental Sciences Department of the University of Bordeaux from 2019 to 2022. She has led or participated in numerous regional (24), national (23) and international (7) projects. She was for instance the head of the ANR CITTOXIC-Nano project (2014-2019), EC2CO Ecodyn INIAME project (2019-2021), or the european Life+Nature project (Margaritifera margaritifera, 2014-2021). In 2019, she received the Talents U Prize from the University of Bordeaux in the Research and Innovations category, for the Labex COTE PLASCOTE project (PLastics and ASsociated COnTaminants in thE Leyre river: fate, toxicity and awareness) she head in 2019-2021. She is supervising or has supervised 17 PhD students (15 defended, 2 in progress), 15 post-docs and 44 Master 2 Research students. She has reported 16 Doctoral Theses and 5 Research Direction Abilities (HDR) and participated as an examiner in 15 other PhD Theses (including 8 jury chairs) and 3 HDRs. She has published 125 articles in international peer-reviewed journals (h index 41, 6512 cited articles) and participated in 179 conference communications. She also gave 14 guest lectures. She is currently co-responsible of the Master degree “Toxicology and Ecotoxicology” of the University of Bordeaux declined in two programs : “Ecotoxicology and Environmental Chemistry” and the bi-diploma France-Québec “Mobbidicq”, and also lecturer for Erasmus Mundus Master ECT+.
