I am a pre-doc student in linguistics in the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU). I studied English Studies in Vitoria-Gasteiz and linguistics immediately captured my attention. I did the Master’s in Linguistics in Vitoria as well and I mainly focused on syntax, on Right Node Raising (RNR) more precisely. Currently, I work on linguistic processing in Basque-Spanish bilinguals tutored by Professor Itziar Laka and Adam Zawiszewski.

Work experience

2016-2017, English Teacher in ITC (Instituto de Transporte y Comercio). Two courses of 90 hours: English for international transport and logistics and professional English for tourism.

01/09/2014-30/06/2015, Spanish Language Assistant in Scottish secondary schools and high schools (A1-C1 levels), Tasks:  Assist students with oral and written competences and help teacher produce teaching materials.

2015, British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC). Consultancy work on Bitesize Primary Languages for the BBC webpage. Tasks: Produce, correct and state the validity of written & oral texts in Spanish. Scottish delegacy of the BBC: [http://www.bbc.co.uk/schools/primarylanguages/spanish/] March 2015.

2014-2015, Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA). Audio recordings for the Spanish “Higher” (B1-B2) and National 5” (A2-B1) oral exams for the National Qualifications.

12/2015-03/2016, Research grant (PIC) to analyze the linguistic phenomenon of Right Node Raising. IT769-13 project, funded by the Basque government. Faculty of Arts, Vitoria-Gasteiz.
