Licenciado en Filología Vasca en 1999 por la Universidad del País Vasco (UPV/EHU). En 2003 obtuve el Máster en Lingüística en esta universidad. En el 2000 obtuve una beca pre-doctoral del Gobierno Vasco para la realización de mi tesis doctoral. En 2006 me doctoré en Ciencia Cognitiva y Lenguaje en la Universitat de Barcelona, con la tesis titulada: Lexical representation and selection in bilingual speech production. En 2006 obtuve una beca del Ministerio de Educación y Ciencia y en 2007 obtuve la Marie Curie Intra-European Fellowship para realizar una estancia postdoctoral en el Departamento de Psicología de la University of Edinburgh, donde trabajé durante tres años con Martin Pickering en el grupo de investigación Language, Cognition and Communication. Desde 2010 trabajo en el grupo de investigación La Mente Bilingüe dirigido por Itziar Laka en la Universidad del País Vasco (UPV/EHU). En noviembre de 2014 fuí contratado como investigador Ramón y Cajal y desde marzo de 2020 soy Investigador Doctor Permanente (Ver aquí mi CV completo).
