The aim of these doctoral studies in this programme is to offer advanced training in research into Physical Activity and Sport. The doctorate trains future researchers to successfully meet the challenge posed by the generation of knowledge and its transfer to society and the productive fabric.

The doctoral programme has around thirty professors with proven research experience in the field of physical and sporting activity, who will guide students through the application of the scientific method to the design and execution of a research project related to physical activity and health, athletic performance, or physical education and sports training.

This doctoral programme aims to develop the students' skills to promote scientific and technological progress in today's society, and to innovate and develop intervention programmes to meet the needs expressed in this field.

Furthermore, the research personnel involved in the programme have ties to leading foreign universities and institutions in the field of knowledge, which makes it easier to exchange knowledge and personnel, facilitating periods of time abroad.
