Physical Activity and Sports Sciences degree (1992) and Ph.D. (2000) from the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU), Sports Management specialist (1993, UPV/EHU), High-Performance in Sports Master degree (1997, Universidad Autónoma, Madrid), BACR Phase IV Exercise Instructor Training specialist (2008, British Association for Cardiac Rehabilitation), and accredited by European Association of Prevention and Cardiovascular Rehabilitation (2011, 2012, 2013, 2015). Physical Activity and Sports undergraduate program teaching: Exercise Design for people with different diseases, and Nutrition for Health. Master Degree teaching at UPV/EHU: Physical Activity and Sports Sciences, Nutrition and Health, and Healthy Ageing. Director of University Specialist in Exercise and Healthy Lifestyles postgraduate degree (UPV/EHU). Research stays: Functional Evaluation and Sports Medicine Center of the University of Barcelona (1997, Spain), Gloucestershire University (2005, 2006, 2014, UK) and Wake Forest University (2004, 2005, 2010, 2016, USA). She has recognized two periods of six years on research, and her research projects and scientific publications are focused on exercise and cardiovascular risk in different pathologies. GIKAFIT research group (Gizartea, Kirola eta Ariketa Fisikoa Ikerkuntza Taldea-Society, Sports, and Physical Exercise Research Group). Extraordinary prize by the Provincial Councy of Araba recognizing the Hypertension and Sport related research (2017)
