Bachelor of Science in Physical Activity and Sports (1998) and PhD in Philosophy and Education Sciences (2005) at the University of the Basque Country (UPV / EHU). He has been a teacher at the same university since 1998. He was Vice Dean of academic organization and academic secretary of the Basque Institute of Physical Education (2000-2003). He currently teaches Basque pelota (degree in Physical Activity and Sports Science) and qualitative research (Master of Science in Physical Activity and Sports) in the Faculty of Education and Sports. He is a member of the Academic Committee of this same Master (since 2008) and of the Commission of the PhD program Physical Activity and Sports (2010-2017). He is director of the Laboratory of Motor Action (LOAM) and member of two research networks: Red Nacional de Evaluación Formativa y Compartida (since 2012) and LGTBI, educación física y deporte (newly constituted). He is a member of the research group Hariketan: equity, physical activity and sport dedicated to the social and qualitative research of sports, leisure and physical education based on criteria of diversity, equity and inclusion. He has directed six theses. He has participated in different research projects financed by public and private entities. He has participated as an author in numerous scientific contributions and has collaborated in the organization of national and international conferences, as well as courses related to the specific research of the area.
