Luis Mari Zulaika Isasti (luism.zulaika@ehu.eus) is a doctor in Pedagogy (besides a specialist professor of Physical Education) by the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU) and Master in Sport Psychology by the UNED (Madrid). He works as an aggregated professor of the Department of Physical Education and Sports (UPV/EHU). He teaches at the Faculty of Education and Sports (sports section). In addition to teaching in the Degree, he also trains in the Master's Degree in Teacher Training in Compulsory Secondary Education and Baccalaureate as well as in the Master of Science of Physical Activity and Sport.
He belongs to the PSIKOR research group since its foundation. In 1999, he defended the thesis in Basque: Self-concept and physical education. Relational analysis and effectiveness of an intervention program , (there is a version translated into Spanish).
His publications and research lines revolve around benefits of sport and physical activity, school sport and physical self-concept.
