Graduate in Music (specialising in Guitar) from the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Bilbao "Juan Crisóstomo de Arriaga" (1991), Graduate in Information Sciences (specialising in Journalism) (1992) and Doctor "Cum Laude" in Philosophy and Educational Sciences from the Unibersity of the Basque Country (2012). She has the accreditation of assistant lecturer (2015) and contracted lecturer (2019).
She has extensive experience as a teacher in conservatories and music schools (20 years) and has been teaching music since the 2007/2008 academic year at the UPV/EHU, currently at the Faculty of Education in Bilbao. Her teaching quality has been accredited in Docentiaz (7th call, 91.56 and 12th call, 96.51). She has participated in Educational Innovation Projects and Campus Bizia Lab. She has directed approximately 40 Final Degree Projects and has co-directed a doctoral thesis. She has given music training courses to active teachers and has improved their musical and teaching training (over a thousand teaching hours).
She is the author or co-author of 10 scientific articles, 5 books and 8 book chapters. She has made more than thirty communications in national and international conferences and has participated in different research groups (UPV/EHU, URJC, MEC).
She has held academic positions such as the coordination of the department's section or the coordination of the Degree in Primary Education, among others.
She has language accreditation for teaching in English.
