Associate Professor in the Department of Didactics of Musical, Plastic and Body Expression, at the Faculty of Education of Bilbao, where she has held the position of Vice-dean of Academic Organization (2017-2018).

Bachelor’s Degree in Music, specialities of Composition and Orchestral Conducting (1993), and PhD by the University of the Basque Country, program Psychodidactic: Educational Psychology and Specific Didactics (2015). Postgraduate: Master in Public Administration (University of the Basque Country / IVAP) and Master in Management of Educational Centers (University of Deusto / Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona).

Between 1986 and 2017 she has been a professor at the Municipal School of Music of Santurtzi, also holding the position of director (1993-2010). She has been part of the board of the Association of Music Schools of the Basque Country (EHME), being its president between 2008 and 2010. President, in this same period, of the Union of Music and Dance Schools (UEMYD), representing the collective in European Music Schools Union (EMU). She has also been a member of the Advisory Council for Musical Education of Euskadi and has carried out advisory work to the Government of Andorra on specialized musical education (2018).

Her most recent research focuses on music education in its different fields, educational innovation and teacher training.
