Jonatan García Rabadán is an lecturer of the Department of Sociology and Social Work at the University of the Basque Country (UPV / EHU).



Degree (2006) and Ph.D. in Political and Administration Sciences by the UPV / EHU. He has studied at the Institut d’Etudes Politiques in Bordeaux-France (2005), the University of Deusto (2007) and the Centro de Investigaciones Sociológicas (2010); among others.



He is a member of different associations and academic collectives at local and international level such as the Basque Association of Sociology and Political Science, the Spanish Association of Political Science, the Spanish Federation of Sociology, the European Consortium for Political Research (ECPR), or the International Society of Sociology of Religion (ISSR-SISR). It maintains collaborations with other research teams and collaborates in different projects. It has multiple academic publications. He has served as an evaluator for different academic journals, as well as being part of the Editorial Board of INGURUAK Journal. His main lines of research focus on politico-electoral behavior, the relationship between politics and religion in Basque Country, as well as the study of federalism and public opinion. He collaborates assiduously with different communication media such as EITB, Radio Popular, El Correo, Cadena SER or The Conversation.
