Then Joshua returned, and all Israel with him, to the camp at Gilgal.

And it was told Joshua, saying, "The five kings have been found hidden in the cave at Makkedah."

"And do not stay [there] yourselves, [but] pursue your enemies, and attack their rear [guard.] Do not allow them to enter their cities, for the LORD your God has delivered them into your hand."

Then it happened, while Joshua and the children of Israel made an end of slaying them with a very great slaughter, till they had finished, that those who escaped entered fortified cities.

And they did so, and brought out those five kings to him from the cave: the king of Jerusalem, the king of Hebron, the king of Jarmuth, the king of Lachish, [and] the king of Eglon.

So it was, when they brought out those kings to Joshua, that Joshua called for all the men of Israel, and said to the captains of the men of war who went with him, "Come near, put your feet on the necks of these kings." And they drew near and put their feet on their necks.

So it was at the time of the going down of the sun [that] Joshua commanded, and they took them down from the trees, cast them into the cave where they had been hidden, and laid large stones against the cave's mouth, [which remain] until this very day.

On that day Joshua took Makkedah, and struck it and its king with the edge of the sword. He utterly destroyed them -- all the people who [were] in it. He let none remain. He also did to the king of Makkedah as he had done to the king of Jericho.

And the LORD also delivered it and its king into the hand of Israel; he struck it and all the people who [were] in it with the edge of the sword. He let none remain in it, but did to its king as he had done to the king of Jericho.

Libnatik Lakixera jo zuen Josuek israeldar guztiekin; hiria inguratu eta eraso egin zion.

Then Joshua passed from Libnah, and all Israel with him, to Lachish; and they encamped against it and fought against it.

And the LORD delivered Lachish into the hand of Israel, who took it on the second day, and struck it and all the people who [were] in it with the edge of the sword, according to all that he had done to Libnah.

They took it on that day and struck it with the edge of the sword; all the people who [were] in it he utterly destroyed that day, according to all that he had done to Lachish.

So Joshua went up from Eglon, and all Israel with him, to Hebron; and they fought against it.

And he took it and its king and all its cities; they struck them with the edge of the sword and utterly destroyed all the people who [were] in it. He left none remaining; as he had done to Hebron, so he did to Debir and its king, as he had done also to Libnah and its king.

So Joshua conquered all the land: the mountain country and the South and the lowland and the wilderness slopes, and all their kings; he left none remaining, but utterly destroyed all that breathed, as the LORD God of Israel had commanded.

And Joshua conquered them from Kadesh Barnea as far as Gaza, and all the country of Goshen, even as far as Gibeon.

All these kings and their land Joshua took at one time, because the LORD God of Israel fought for Israel.

to the Canaanites in the east and in the west, the Amorite, the Hittite, the Perizzite, the Jebusite in the mountains, and the Hivite below Hermon in the land of Mizpah.

So they went out, they and all their armies with them, [as] many people [as] the sand that [is] on the seashore in multitude, with very many horses and chariots.

And when all these kings had met together, they came and camped together at the waters of Merom to fight against Israel.

Pero Jehov? dijo a Josu?: "No les tengas temor, porque ma?ana a esta hora yo los entregar? a todos muertos delante de Israel; desjarretar?s sus caballos y quemar?s sus carros en el fuego".

L'?ternel dit ? Josu?: Ne les crains point, car demain, ? ce moment -ci, je les livrerai tous frapp?s devant Isra?l. Tu couperas les jarrets ? leurs chevaux, et tu br?leras au feu leurs chars.

But the LORD said to Joshua, "Do not be afraid because of them, for tomorrow about this time I will deliver all of them slain before Israel. You shall hamstring their horses and burn their chariots with fire."

Josuek, bere gudari guztiekin Merom aintzirara joan eta ustekabean eraso zien.

Josu?, con toda su gente de guerra, se lanz? de repente contra ellos junto a las aguas de Merom.

Josu?, avec tous ses gens de guerre, arriva subitement sur eux pr?s des eaux de M?rom, et ils se pr?cipit?rent au milieu d'eux.

So Joshua and all the people of war with him came against them suddenly by the waters of Merom, and they attacked them.

Jaunak eskura eman zizkien israeldarrei eta hauek porrokatu eta pertsegitu egin zituzten Sidon hiribururaino eta Misrefot-Maim hiriraino eta, ekialdetik, Mitzpako haraneraino. Denak hil zituzten, bat ere bizirik utzi gabe.

Jehov? los entreg? en manos de Israel, que los hiri? y los persigui? hasta Sid?n la grande, hasta Misrefotmaim y el llano de Mizpa, al oriente. Los hiri? hasta no dejar ninguno con vida.

L'?ternel les livra entre les mains d'Isra?l; ils les battirent et les poursuivirent jusqu'? Sidon la grande, jusqu'? Misrephoth-Ma?m, et jusqu'? la vall?e de Mitspa vers l'orient; ils les battirent, sans en laisser ?chapper aucun.

And the LORD delivered them into the hand of Israel, who defeated them and chased them to Greater Sidon, to the Brook Misrephoth, and to the Valley of Mizpah eastward; they attacked them until they left none of them remaining.

Jaunak agindu bezala, hanka-zainak ebaki zizkien Josuek zaldiei eta gudu-gurdiak erre.

So Joshua did to them as the LORD had told him: he hamstrung their horses and burned their chariots with fire.

Ondoren, itzuli eta Hatzor hiria hartu zuen Josuek eta bertako erregea ezpataz hil. Hatzor zen aldi hartan inguru haietako erreinuetako hiriburua.

Por entonces regres? Josu?, tom? a Hazor y mat? a espada a su rey, pues Hazor hab?a sido antes cabeza de todos estos reinos.

? son retour, et dans le m?me temps, Josu? prit Hatsor, et frappa son roi avec l'?p?e: Hatsor ?tait autrefois la principale ville de tous ces royaumes.

Joshua turned back at that time and took Hazor, and struck its king with the sword; for Hazor was formerly the head of all those kingdoms.

Bertan bizi ziren guztiak ezpataz hil eta erabat suntsitu zituen, bat ere bizirik utzi gabe, eta hiriari su eman zion.

Pasaron a espada todo cuanto en ella ten?a vida, destruy?ndolo todo por completo, sin que quedara nada capaz de respirar, y prendieron fuego a Hazor.

On frappa du tranchant de l'?p?e et l'on d?voua par interdit tous ceux qui s'y trouvaient, il ne resta rien de ce qui respirait, et l'on mit le feu ? Hatsor.

And they struck all the people who [were] in it with the edge of the sword, utterly destroying [them.] There was none left breathing. Then he burned Hazor with fire.

Josuek gainerako hiri guztiak hartu eta bertako erregeak ezpataz hil zituen eta erabat suntsitu, Moisesek, Jaunaren zerbitzariak, agindu bezala.

Asimismo tom? Josu? todas las ciudades de aquellos reyes, y a todos sus reyes los pas? a filo de espada y los extermin?, como Mois?s, siervo de Jehov?, lo hab?a mandado.

Josu? prit aussi toutes les villes de ces rois et tous leurs rois, et il les frappa du tranchant de l'?p?e, et il les d?voua par interdit, comme l'avait ordonn? Mo?se, serviteur de l'?ternel.

So all the cities of those kings, and all their kings, Joshua took and struck with the edge of the sword. He utterly destroyed them, as Moses the servant of the LORD had commanded.

Mendi-gailurretan zeuden hiriak ez zituzten erre israeldarrek, Josuek erre zuen Hatzor izan ezik.

Pero Israel no quem? todas las ciudades que estaban sobre colinas; Josu? quem? ?nicamente a Hazor.

Mais Isra?l ne br?la aucune des villes situ?es sur des collines, ? l'exception seulement de Hatsor, qui fut br?l?e par Josu?.

But [as for] the cities that stood on their mounds, Israel burned none of them, except Hazor only, [which] Joshua burned.

Hiri haietako ondasunak eta abereak berentzat hartu zituzten israeldarrek, gudu-harrapakintzat; gizakiak, aldiz, ezpataz hil zituzten, denak suntsitzeraino, bat ere bizirik utzi gabe.

Los hijos de Israel tomaron para s? todo el bot?n y las bestias de aquellas ciudades; pero pasaron a todos los hombres a filo de espada hasta exterminarlos, sin dejar ninguno con vida.

Les enfants d'Isra?l gard?rent pour eux tout le butin de ces villes et le b?tail; mais ils frapp?rent du tranchant de l'?p?e tous les hommes, jusqu'? ce qu'ils les eussent d?truits, sans rien laisser de ce qui respirait.

And all the spoil of these cities and the livestock, the children of Israel took as booty for themselves; but they struck every man with the edge of the sword until they had destroyed them, and they left none breathing.

Jaunak Moisesi agindutakoa agindu zion Moisesek Josueri, eta honek bete; ez zuen bete gabe utzi Jaunak Moisesi agindutako ezer ere.

De la manera que Jehov? lo hab?a mandado a Mois?s, su siervo, as? Mois?s lo mand? a Josu?, y as? lo hizo Josu?, sin quitar una palabra de todo lo que Jehov? hab?a mandado a Mois?s.

Josu? ex?cuta les ordres de l'?ternel ? Mo?se, son serviteur, et de Mo?se ? Josu?; il ne n?gligea rien de tout ce que l'?ternel avait ordonn? ? Mo?se.

As the LORD had commanded Moses his servant, so Moses commanded Joshua, and so Joshua did. He left nothing undone of all that the LORD had commanded Moses.

Hona hemen, Josuek hartutako lurraldeak: mendialdea, Negev basamortua, Goxen lurraldea, Xefela lautada, Araba harana eta Israelgo mendialdea eta itsasorainoko lautada;

Conquist?, pues, Josu? toda aquella tierra, las monta?as, todo el Neguev, toda la tierra de Gos?n, los llanos, el Arab?, las monta?as de Israel y sus valles,

C'est ainsi que Josu? s'empara de tout ce pays, de la montagne, de tout le midi, de tout le pays de Gosen, de la vall?e, de la plaine, de la montagne d'Isra?l et de ses vall?es,

Thus Joshua took all this land: the mountain country, all the South, all the land of Goshen, the lowland, and the Jordan plain -- the mountains of Israel and its lowlands,

hau da, Seir aldera doan Halak menditik Hermon mendi azpiko Libanoko haranean dagoen Baal-Gad hirira arteko lurralde osoa. Errege guztiak harrapatu eta hil egin zituen,

desde el monte Halac, que sube hacia Seir, hasta Baal-gad, en la llanura del L?bano, a la falda del monte Herm?n. Captur? asimismo a todos sus reyes, los hiri? y mat?.

depuis la montagne nue qui s'?l?ve vers S?ir jusqu'? Baal-Gad, dans la vall?e du Liban, au pied de la montagne d'Hermon. Il prit tous leurs rois, les frappa et les fit mourir.

from Mount Halak and the ascent to Seir, even as far as Baal Gad in the Valley of Lebanon below Mount Hermon. He captured all their kings, and struck them down and killed them.

beraien kontra luzaro borrokan ibili ondoren.

Durante mucho tiempo estuvo Josu? en guerra con estos reyes.

La guerre que soutint Josu? contre tous ces rois fut de longue dur?e.

Joshua made war a long time with all those kings.

Israeldarrekin bake-hitzarmena egin zuen hiri bakarra hibiarrak bizi zireneko Gabaon izan zen. Beste guztiak armen indarrez hartu zituzten.

No hubo ciudad que hiciera la paz con los hijos de Israel, salvo los heveos que habitaban en Gaba?n; todas las tomaron por la fuerza.

Il n'y eut aucune ville qui f?t la paix avec les enfants d'Isra?l, except? Gabaon, habit?e par les H?viens; ils les prirent toutes en combattant.

There was not a city that made peace with the children of Israel, except the Hivites, the inhabitants of Gibeon. All [the others] they took in battle.
