Now the people [who were] encamped heard it said, "Zimri has conspired and also has killed the king." So all Israel made Omri, the commander of the army, king over Israel that day in the camp.

Omri did evil in the eyes of the LORD, and did worse than all who [were] before him.

And Elijah the Tishbite, of the inhabitants of Gilead, said to Ahab, "[As] the LORD God of Israel lives, before whom I stand, there shall not be dew nor rain these years, except at my word."

So he went and did according to the word of the LORD, for he went and stayed by the Brook Cherith, which flows into the Jordan.

And it happened after a while that the brook dried up, because there had been no rain in the land.

Then the word of the LORD came to him, saying,

"Arise, go to Zarephath, which [belongs] to Sidon, and dwell there. See, I have commanded a widow there to provide for you."

So he arose and went to Zarephath. And when he came to the gate of the city, indeed a widow [was] there gathering sticks. And he called to her and said, "Please bring me a little water in a cup, that I may drink."

And as she was going to get [it,] he called to her and said, "Please bring me a morsel of bread in your hand."

Et voici, je ramasse deux morceaux de bois, puis je rentrerai et je pr?parerai cela pour moi et pour mon fils; nous mangerons, apr?s quoi nous mourrons.

So she said, "As the LORD your God lives, I do not have bread, only a handful of flour in a bin, and a little oil in a jar; and see, I [am] gathering a couple of sticks that I may go in and prepare it for myself and my son, that we may eat it, and die."

"For thus says the LORD God of Israel: 'The bin of flour shall not be used up, nor shall the jar of oil run dry, until the day the LORD sends rain on the earth.' "

La viuda fue e hizo como le hab?a dicho El?as. Y comieron ?l, ella y su casa, durante muchos d?as.

Elle alla, et elle fit selon la parole d'?lie. Et pendant longtemps elle eut de quoi manger, elle et sa famille, aussi bien qu'?lie.

So she went away and did according to the word of Elijah; and she and he and her household ate for [many] days.

Ogi-irin-katilua ez zen hustu, ez eta oliontzia agortu ere, Jaunak Eliasen bidez esana zuen bezala.

No escase? la harina de la tinaja, ni el aceite de la vasija mengu?, conforme a la palabra que Jehov? hab?a dicho por medio de El?as.

La farine qui ?tait dans le pot ne manqua point, et l'huile qui ?tait dans la cruche ne diminua point, selon la parole que l'?ternel avait prononc?e par ?lie.

The bin of flour was not used up, nor did the jar of oil run dry, according to the word of the LORD which He spoke by Elijah.

Aldi baten buruan, etxekoandre haren semea gaixotu egin zen, oso larriki gaixotu ere, arnasarik gabe gelditzeraino.

Despu?s de estas cosas aconteci? que cay? enfermo el hijo de la due?a de la casa. La enfermedad fue tan grave que se qued? sin aliento.

Apr?s ces choses, le fils de la femme, ma?tresse de la maison, devint malade, et sa maladie fut si violente qu'il ne resta plus en lui de respiration.

Now it happened after these things [that] the son of the woman who owned the house became sick. And his sickness was so serious that there was no breath left in him.

Emakumeak esan zion Eliasi: -Ez dut zurekin deus ere nahi, Jainkoaren gizon! Nire errua oroitaraztera eta nire semea hilaraztera etorri al zara?

Entonces dijo ella a El?as: -- ?Qu? tengo que ver yo contigo, var?n de Dios? ?Has venido aqu? a recordarme mis pecados y a hacer morir a mi hijo?

Cette femme dit alors ? ?lie: Qu'y a-t-il entre moi et toi, homme de Dieu ? Es-tu venu chez moi pour rappeler le souvenir de mon iniquit?, et pour faire mourir mon fils ?

So she said to Elijah, "What have I to do with you, O man of God? Have you come to me to bring my sin to remembrance, and to kill my son?"

Eliasek erantzun: -Emadazu semea. Hartu zion haurra magaletik, eraman zuen gora, bera bizi zen gelara, eta bere ohean etzan zuen.

Il lui r?pondit: Donne -moi ton fils. Et il le prit du sein de la femme, le monta dans la chambre haute o? il demeurait, et le coucha sur son lit.

And he said to her, "Give me your son." So he took him out of her arms and carried him to the upper room where he was staying, and laid him on his own bed.

Ondoren, honela egin zion dei Jaunari: "Jauna, ene Jainkoa, ni bere etxean hartu nauen alargun hau ere atsekabetu egin behar al duzu, semea hilaraziz?"

Luego clam? a Jehov? diciendo: "Jehov?, Dios m?o, ?tambi?n a la viuda en cuya casa estoy hospedado vas a afligir, haciendo morir su hijo?".

Puis il invoqua l'?ternel, et dit: ?ternel, mon Dieu, est-ce que tu affligerais, au point de faire mourir son fils, m?me cette veuve chez qui j'ai ?t? re?u comme un h?te?

Then he cried out to the LORD and said, "O LORD my God, have You also brought tragedy on the widow with whom I lodge, by killing her son?"

Gero, etzan zen hiru aldiz haurraren gainean eta dei egin zion Jaunari, esanez: "Jauna, ene Jainkoa, otoi, etor dakiola bizi-arnasa haur honi".

Se tendi? sobre el ni?o tres veces y clam? a Jehov?: "Jehov?, Dios m?o, te ruego que hagas volver el alma a este ni?o".

Et il s'?tendit trois fois sur l'enfant, invoqua l'?ternel, et dit: ?ternel, mon Dieu, je t'en prie, que l'?me de cet enfant revienne au dedans de lui !

And he stretched himself out on the child three times, and cried out to the LORD and said, "O LORD my God, I pray, let this child's soul come back to him."

Entzun zuen Jaunak Eliasen deia eta etorri zitzaion bizi-arnasa haurrari eta birpiztu egin zen.

Jehov? oy? la voz de El?as, el alma volvi? al ni?o y este revivi?.

L'?ternel ?couta la voix d'?lie, et l'?me de l'enfant revint au dedans de lui, et il fut rendu ? la vie.

Then the LORD heard the voice of Elijah; and the soul of the child came back to him, and he revived.

Eliasek, orduan, haurra hartu, etxe goiko gelatik jaitsi eta amari eman zion. Eliasek esan zuen: -Hona! Bizi da zure semea!

Tom? luego El?as al ni?o, lo trajo del aposento a la casa, lo entreg? a su madre y le dijo: -- Mira, tu hijo vive.

?lie prit l'enfant, le descendit de la chambre haute dans la maison, et le donna ? sa m?re. Et ?lie dit: Vois, ton fils est vivant.

And Elijah took the child and brought him down from the upper room into the house, and gave him to his mother. And Elijah said, "See, your son lives!"

Emakumeak erantzun zion Eliasi: -Orain badakit Jainkoaren gizona zarena, eta zuk diozuna egiaz Jaunaren hitza dena.

Entonces la mujer dijo a El?as: -- Ahora reconozco que t? eres un var?n de Dios y que la palabra de Jehov? es verdad en tu boca.

Et la femme dit ? ?lie: Je reconnais maintenant que tu es un homme de Dieu, et que la parole de l'?ternel dans ta bouche est v?rit?.

Then the woman said to Elijah, "Now by this I know that you [are] a man of God, [and] that the word of the LORD in your mouth [is] the truth."

Handik luzarora, lehortearen hirugarren urtean, honela hitz egin zion Jaunak Eliasi: "Zoaz Akab erregeagana; euria eginarazi behar dut lur gainera".

Pas? muchos tiempo, y tres a?os despu?s, lleg? palabra de Jehov? a El?as, diciendo: "Ve, mu?strate a Acab, y yo har? llover sobre la faz de la tierra".

Bien des jours s'?coul?rent, et la parole de l'?ternel fut ainsi adress?e ? ?lie, dans la troisi?me ann?e: Va, pr?sente -toi devant Achab, et je ferai tomber de la pluie sur la face du sol.

And it came to pass [after] many days that the word of the LORD came to Elijah, in the third year, saying, "Go, present yourself to Ahab, and I will send rain on the earth."

So Elijah went to present himself to Ahab; and [there was] a severe famine in Samaria.
