Then [the] Rabshakeh stood and called out with a loud voice in Hebrew, and spoke, saying, "Hear the word of the great king, the king of Assyria!

'nor let Hezekiah make you trust in the LORD, saying, "The LORD will surely deliver us; this city shall not be given into the hand of the king of Assyria." '

Then Eliakim the son of Hilkiah, who [was] over the household, Shebna the scribe, and Joah the son of Asaph, the recorder, came to Hezekiah with [their] clothes torn, and told him the words of [the] Rabshakeh.

And so it was, when King Hezekiah heard [it,] that he tore his clothes, covered himself with sackcloth, and went into the house of the LORD.

And they said to him, "Thus says Hezekiah: 'This day [is] a day of trouble, and rebuke, and blasphemy; for the children have come to birth, but [there is] no strength to bring them forth.

'It may be that the LORD your God will hear all the words of [the] Rabshakeh, whom his master the king of Assyria has sent to reproach the living God, and will rebuke the words which the LORD your God has heard. Therefore lift up [your] prayer for the remnant that is left.' "

Then [the] Rabshakeh returned and found the king of Assyria warring against Libnah, for he heard that he had departed from Lachish.

"Thus you shall speak to Hezekiah king of Judah, saying: 'Do not let your God in whom you trust deceive you, saying, "Jerusalem shall not be given into the hand of the king of Assyria."

Then Hezekiah prayed before the LORD, and said: "O LORD God of Israel, [the One] who dwells [between] the cherubim, You are God, You alone, of all the kingdoms of the earth. You have made heaven and earth.

"Incline Your ear, O LORD, and hear; open Your eyes, O LORD, and see; and hear the words of Sennacherib, which he has sent to reproach the living God.

Egia da, bai, Jauna, Asiriako erregeek birrindu egin dituztela herriak eta berauen lurraldeak,

Es verdad, Jehov?, que los reyes de Asiria han destruido las naciones y sus tierras,

Il est vrai, ? ?ternel ! que les rois d'Assyrie ont d?truit les nations et ravag? leurs pays,

"Truly, LORD, the kings of Assyria have laid waste the nations and their lands,

eta suari eman dizkiotela berauen jainkoak; ez baitziren Jainko, zurezko nahiz harrizko irudi huts baizik, giza eskuek eginak. Horregatik xehatu ahal izan dituzte.

y que han echado al fuego a sus dioses, por cuanto ellos no eran dioses, sino obra de manos humanas, de madera o de piedra, y por eso los destruyeron.

et qu'ils ont jet? leurs dieux dans le feu; mais ce n'?taient point des dieux, c'?taient des ouvrages de mains d'homme, du bois et de la pierre; et ils les ont an?antis.

"and have cast their gods into the fire; for they [were] not gods, but the work of men's hands -- wood and stone. Therefore they destroyed them.

"Now therefore, O LORD our God, I pray, save us from his hand, that all the kingdoms of the earth may know that You [are] the LORD God, You alone."

Amotzen seme Isaiasek mezu hau bidali zion Ezekiasi: "Hau dio Jaunak, Israelen Jainkoak: Aditu dut Asiriako errege Senakerib dela-eta egin didazun otoitza.

Entonces Isa?as hijo de Amoz envi? a decir a Ezequ?as: "As? ha dicho Jehov?, Dios de Israel: He o?do lo que me pediste acerca de Senaquerib, rey de Asiria.

Alors ?sa?e, fils d'Amots, envoya dire ? ?z?chias: Ainsi parle l'?ternel, le Dieu d'Isra?l: J'ai entendu la pri?re que tu m'as adress?e au sujet de Sanch?rib, roi d'Assyrie.

Then Isaiah the son of Amoz sent to Hezekiah, saying, "Thus says the LORD God of Israel: 'Because you have prayed to Me against Sennacherib king of Assyria, I have heard.'

Hona hemen zer diodan haren aurka: "Mesprezio eta barre degizu, Senakerib, Sion neska gazte ederrak; buruaz keinuka ari zaizu atzetik Jerusalem hiri ederra.

Esta es la palabra que Jehov? ha pronunciado acerca de ?l: "La virgen, hija de Si?n, te menosprecia, se burla de ti; a tus espaldas mueve su cabeza la hija de Jerusal?n.

Voici la parole que l'?ternel a prononc?e contre lui: Elle te m?prise, elle se moque de toi, La vierge, fille de Sion; Elle hoche la t?te apr?s toi, La fille de J?rusalem.

"This [is] the word which the LORD has spoken concerning him: 'The virgin, the daughter of Zion, Has despised you, laughed you to scorn; The daughter of Jerusalem Has shaken [her] head behind your back!

Nori egin diozu irain eta iseka? Noren aurka jaso duzu ahotsa eta altxatu begiak harro? Nire aurka, Israelen Jainko santuaren aurka!

?A qui?n has insultado y contra qui?n has blasfemado?, ?contra qui?n has alzado la voz, y levantado altanero tus ojos? Contra el Santo de Israel.

Qui as-tu insult? et outrag? ? Contre qui as-tu ?lev? la voix ? Tu as port? tes yeux en haut Sur le Saint d'Isra?l !

' Whom have you reproached and blasphemed? Against whom have you raised [your] voice, And lifted up your eyes on high? Against the Holy [One] of Israel.

Ni, Jaun hau, iraindu nauzu zeure mezularien bidez. Hau esan duzu: "Neure gudu-gurdien oldarrez mendi-gailurretara igo naiz, Libanoko tontor hurbilgaitzetara. Hango zedrorik tantaienak eta zipresik bikainenak bota ditut. Tontorrik garaienetara eta basarterik itxienetara heldu naiz.

Por medio de tus mensajeros has insultado a Jehov? y has dicho: 'Con la multitud de mis carros he subido a las alturas de los montes, a lo m?s inaccesible del L?bano; cortar? sus altos cedros, sus cipreses m?s escogidos; me alojar? en sus m?s remotos lugares, en el bosque de sus feraces campos.

Par tes messagers tu as insult? le Seigneur, Et tu as dit: Avec la multitude de mes chars, J'ai gravi le sommet des montagnes, Les extr?mit?s du Liban; Je couperai les plus ?lev?s de ses c?dres, Les plus beaux de ses cypr?s, Et j'atteindrai sa derni?re cime, Sa for?t semblable ? un verger;

By your messengers you have reproached the Lord, And said: "By the multitude of my chariots I have come up to the height of the mountains, To the limits of Lebanon; I will cut down its tall cedars [And] its choice cypress trees; I will enter the extremity of its borders, [To] its fruitful forest.

He cavado y bebido las aguas extra?as, he secado con las plantas de mis pies todos los r?os de Egipto'.

J'ai creus?, et j'ai bu des eaux ?trang?res, Et je tarirai avec la plante de mes pieds Tous les fleuves de l'?gypte.

I have dug and drunk strange water, And with the soles of my feet I have dried up All the brooks of defense."

Baina ez al dakizu, Senakerib, aspalditik neuk prestatua nuela, antzinatik neuk erabakia orain burutzen ari naizen hau? Horregatik bihurtu dituzu hiri-gotorrak zabor-pila.

?Pero nunca o?ste que desde tiempos antiguos yo lo hice, y que desde los d?as de la antig?edad lo tengo ideado? Pues ahora lo he hecho venir: T? causar?s desolaciones, y reducir?s las ciudades fortificadas a montones de escombros.

N'as-tu pas appris que j'ai pr?par? ces choses de loin, Et que je les ai r?solues d?s les temps anciens ? Maintenant j'ai permis qu'elles s'accomplissent, Et que tu r?duisisses des villes fortes en monceaux de ruines.

' Did you not hear long ago [How] I made it, From ancient times that I formed it? Now I have brought it to pass, That you should be For crushing fortified cities [into] heaps of ruins.

Haietako bizilagunak indarrik gabe, ikaraturik eta buru-makur utzi dituzu, larre-belarra bailiran, hazi baino lehen ihartua.

Sus habitantes, impotentes, fueron acobardados y confundidos; vinieron a ser como la hierba del campo, como hortaliza verde, como heno de los terrados, que se marchita antes de madurar.

Leurs habitants sont impuissants, ?pouvant?s et confus; Ils sont comme l'herbe des champs et la tendre verdure, Comme le gazon des toits Et le bl? qui s?che avant la formation de sa tige.

Therefore their inhabitants had little power; They were dismayed and confounded; They were [as] the grass of the field And the green herb, [As] the grass on the housetops And [grain] blighted before it is grown.

Badakit zure egintzen eta nondik norako guztien berri; badakit noiz zauden amorru bizitan nire kontra.

He conocido tu situaci?n, todos tus movimientos, y tu furor contra m?.

Mais je sais quand tu t'assieds, quand tu sors et quand tu entres, Et quand tu es furieux contre moi.

' But I know your dwelling place, Your going out and your coming in, And your rage against Me.

Por cuanto te has airado contra m?, por cuanto tu arrogancia ha subido a mis o?dos, voy a poner mi garfio en tu nariz y mi freno en tus labios, y te har? volver por el camino por donde viniste.

Parce que tu es furieux contre moi, Et que ton arrogance est mont?e ? mes oreilles, Je mettrai ma boucle ? tes narines et mon mors entre tes l?vres, Et je te ferai retourner par le chemin par lequel tu es venu.

Because your rage against Me and your tumult Have come up to My ears, Therefore I will put My hook in your nose And My bridle in your lips, And I will turn you back By the way which you came.

Ondoren, hau esan zion Isaiasek Ezekiasi: "Hauxe izanen duzu ezaugarri: aurten, alorrean utzitako hazitik sortua jango duzu; datorren urtean bere kasa erneko dena; baina hurrengo urtean, erein ahal izango duzue eta uzta bildu, mahatsondoak landatu eta mahatsa jan.

"Esto te dar? por se?al, Ezequ?as: Este a?o comer?is lo que nacer? de suyo, y el segundo a?o lo que nacer? de suyo. Al tercer a?o sembrar?is y segar?is, plantar?is vi?as y comer?is el fruto de ellas.

Que ceci soit un signe pour toi: On a mang? une ann?e le produit du grain tomb?, et une seconde ann?e ce qui cro?t de soi-m?me; mais la troisi?me ann?e, vous s?merez, vous moissonnerez, vous planterez des vignes, et vous en mangerez le fruit.

' This [shall be] a sign to you: You shall eat this year such as grows of itself, And in the second year what springs from the same; Also in the third year sow and reap, Plant vineyards and eat the fruit of them.

Judako erreinuan bizirik geldituak, lurrean sustraiak botatzen eta adarretan fruituak ematen dituzten zuhaitz izango dira berriro.

Lo que haya escapado, lo que haya quedado de la casa de Jud?, volver? a echar ra?ces por debajo y llevar? frutos por arriba.

Ce qui aura ?t? sauv? de la maison de Juda, ce qui sera rest? poussera encore des racines par-dessous, et portera du fruit par-dessus.

And the remnant who have escaped of the house of Judah Shall again take root downward, And bear fruit upward.

Izan ere, bakar batzuk bizirik geldituko dira Jerusalemen, onik aterako Sion mendian. Jaunaren maitemin sutsuak egingo du hori!

Porque de Jerusal?n saldr? un resto, y del monte Si?n los que se salven. El celo de Jehov? de los ej?rcitos har? esto.

Car de J?rusalem il sortira un reste, et de la montagne de Sion des r?chapp?s. Voil? ce que fera le z?le de l'?ternel des arm?es.

For out of Jerusalem shall go a remnant, And those who escape from Mount Zion. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will do this.'

"Hau dio Jaunak Asiriako erregeaz: "Ez da hiri honetan sartuko, ez dio gezirik jaurtikiko, ez ezkutuen babespean erasoko, ez hiria hartzeko betelanik egingo.

"Por tanto, as? dice Jehov? acerca del rey de Asiria: No entrar? en esta ciudad, ni lanzar? flechas en ella; ni la enfrentar? con escudo, ni levantar? contra ella un baluarte.

C'est pourquoi ainsi parle l'?ternel sur le roi d'Assyrie: Il n'entrera point dans cette ville, Il n'y lancera point de traits, Il ne lui pr?sentera point de boucliers, Et il n'?l?vera point de retranchements contre elle.

" Therefore thus says the LORD concerning the king of Assyria: 'He shall not come into this city, Nor shoot an arrow there, Nor come before it with shield, Nor build a siege mound against it.
