It shall blossom abundantly and rejoice, Even with joy and singing. The glory of Lebanon shall be given to it, The excellence of Carmel and Sharon. They shall see the glory of the LORD, The excellency of our God.

A highway shall be there, and a road, And it shall be called the Highway of Holiness. The unclean shall not pass over it, But it [shall be] for others. Whoever walks the road, although a fool, Shall not go astray.

And the ransomed of the LORD shall return, And come to Zion with singing, With everlasting joy on their heads. They shall obtain joy and gladness, And sorrow and sighing shall flee away.

Now it came to pass in the fourteenth year of King Hezekiah [that] Sennacherib king of Assyria came up against all the fortified cities of Judah and took them.

Then the king of Assyria sent [the] Rabshakeh with a great army from Lachish to King Hezekiah at Jerusalem. And he stood by the aqueduct from the upper pool, on the highway to the Fuller's Field.

Dijo el copero mayor: -- ?Acaso me envi? mi se?or a que dijera estas palabras a ti y a tu se?or, y no a los hombres que est?n sobre el muro, expuestos a comer su esti?rcol y beber su orina lo mismo que vosotros?

Rabschak? r?pondit: Est-ce ? ton ma?tre et ? toi que mon ma?tre m'a envoy? dire ces paroles ? N'est-ce pas ? ces hommes assis sur la muraille pour manger leurs excr?ments et pour boire leur urine avec vous?

But [the] Rabshakeh said, "Has my master sent me to your master and to you to speak these words, and not to the men who sit on the wall, who will eat and drink their own waste with you?"

Orduan, ordezkari nagusiak, zutiturik, deiadarka esan zuen hebreeraz mintzatuz: -Entzun ezazue errege handiaren, Asiriako erregearen, mezua:

Entonces el copero mayor se puso en pie y grit? a gran voz en la lengua de Jud?, diciendo: -- ?O?d las palabras del gran rey, el rey de Asiria!

Puis Rabschak? s'avan?a et cria de toute sa force en langue juda?que: ?coutez les paroles du grand roi, du roi d'Assyrie !

Then [the] Rabshakeh stood and called out with a loud voice in Hebrew, and said, "Hear the words of the great king, the king of Assyria!

"Ez zaitzatela engaina Ezekiasek, ezin izango baitzaituzte libratu.

El rey dice as?: "No os enga?e Ezequ?as, porque no os podr? librar.

"Thus says the king: 'Do not let Hezekiah deceive you, for he will not be able to deliver you;

Ez diezazuela Ezekiasek ustea Jaunarengan jarrarazi, Jaunak libratuko zaituztelakoan eta hiri hau Asiriako erregearen menpean eroriko ez delakoan".

Ni os haga Ezequ?as confiar en Jehov?, diciendo: 'Ciertamente Jehov? nos librar?; no ser? entregada esta ciudad en manos del rey de Asiria'.

Qu'?z?chias ne vous am?ne point ? vous confier en l'?ternel, en disant: L'?ternel nous d?livrera, cette ville ne sera pas livr?e entre les mains du roi d'Assyrie.

'nor let Hezekiah make you trust in the LORD, saying, "The LORD will surely deliver us; this city will not be given into the hand of the king of Assyria." '

Ez aditu Ezekiasi; entzun Asiriako erregeak dioena: "Egin bakezkoak nirekin eta jar zaitezte nire menpe. Horrela nork bere mahatsondoaren eta pikuondoaren fruituak jan ahal izanen ditu eta bere putzuko ura edan.

?No escuch?is a Ezequ?as!, porque as? dice el rey de Asiria: 'Haced conmigo la paz y salid a m?; y coma cada uno de su vi?a, cada uno de su higuera, y beba cada cual las aguas de su pozo,

N'?coutez point ?z?chias; car ainsi parle le roi d'Assyrie: Faites la paix avec moi, rendez -vous ? moi, et chacun de vous mangera de sa vigne et de son figuier, et chacun boira de l'eau de sa citerne,

"Do not listen to Hezekiah; for thus says the king of Assyria: 'Make [peace] with me [by a] present and come out to me; and every one of you eat from his own vine and every one from his own fig tree, and every one of you drink the waters of his own cistern;

Eta gero, zuena bezalako beste lurralde batera, garia eta ardoa, ogia eta mahastiak dituen lurraldera, eramango zaituztet.

hasta que yo venga y os lleve a una tierra como la vuestra, tierra de grano y de vino, tierra de pan y de vi?as'.

'until I come and take you away to a land like your own land, a land of grain and new wine, a land of bread and vineyards.

Ez zaitzatela Ezekiasek engaina, Jaunak libratuko zaituztela esanez. Beste herrietako jainkoek libratu ote dituzte beren lurraldeak Asiriako erregearen eskutik?

Mirad que no os enga?e Ezequ?as diciendo: 'Jehov? nos librar?'. ?Acaso alguno de los dioses de las naciones ha librado su tierra de manos del rey de Asiria?

Qu'?z?chias ne vous s?duise point, en disant: L'?ternel nous d?livrera. Les dieux des nations ont-ils d?livr? chacun son pays de la main du roi d'Assyrie ?

'[Beware] lest Hezekiah persuade you, saying, "The LORD will deliver us." Has any one of the gods of the nations delivered its land from the hand of the king of Assyria?

Zer egin dute Hamat eta Arpadeko jainkoek? Zer Sefarbaimgo jainkoek? Libratu al dute Samaria nire eskutik?

'Where [are] the gods of Hamath and Arpad? Where [are] the gods of Sepharvaim? Indeed, have they delivered Samaria from my hand?

Inongo jainkok ez du libratu bere lurraldea nire eskutik, eta Jaunak libratuko al du, bada, Jerusalem nire menpean erortzetik?"

?Qu? dios hay entre los dioses de estas tierras que haya librado su tierra de mis manos, para que Jehov? libre de mis manos a Jerusal?n?".

Parmi tous les dieux de ces pays, quels sont ceux qui ont d?livr? leur pays de ma main, pour que l'?ternel d?livre J?rusalem de ma main ?

'Who among all the gods of these lands have delivered their countries from my hand, that the LORD should deliver Jerusalem from my hand?' "

Haiek isilik gelditu ziren; ez zioten hitzik ere erantzun, erregeak agindua baitzien ez erantzuteko.

Pero ellos callaron, no le respondieron palabra, porque el rey as? lo hab?a mandado, diciendo: "No le respond?is".

Mais ils se turent, et ne lui r?pondirent pas un mot; car le roi avait donn? cet ordre: Vous ne lui r?pondrez pas.

But they held their peace and answered him not a word; for the king's commandment was, "Do not answer him."

Hilkiasen seme Heliakim jauregizainak, Xebna idazkariak eta Asafen seme Joah bozeramaileak, jantziak urraturik, Ezekiasengana joan eta ordezkari nagusiak esana adierazi zioten.

Then Eliakim the son of Hilkiah, who [was] over the household, Shebna the scribe, and Joah the son of Asaph, the recorder, came to Hezekiah with [their] clothes torn, and told him the words of [the] Rabshakeh.

Ezekias erregeak ere, hori entzutean, jantziak urratu zituen eta, doluz jantzirik, Jaunaren etxera jo zuen.

And so it was, when King Hezekiah heard [it,] that he tore his clothes, covered himself with sackcloth, and went into the house of the LORD.

Then he sent Eliakim, who [was] over the household, Shebna the scribe, and the elders of the priests, covered with sackcloth, to Isaiah the prophet, the son of Amoz.
