"How long will [this] be in the heart of the prophets who prophesy lies? Indeed [they are] prophets of the deceit of their own heart,

"[Is] not My word like a fire?" says the LORD, "And like a hammer [that] breaks the rock in pieces?

"Behold, I [am] against the prophets," says the LORD, "who use their tongues and say, 'He says.'

"Behold, I [am] against those who prophesy false dreams," says the LORD, "and tell them, and cause My people to err by their lies and by their recklessness. Yet I did not send them or command them; therefore they shall not profit this people at all," says the LORD.

Jaunak esan zion Jeremiasi: "Jendeak edo profeta nahiz apaizen batek, "Jaunaren mezua (zama)" zein den galdetzen badizu, erantzun honela: "Zeuek zarete zama, eta Jaunak jaurtiki egingo zaituzte".

" So when these people or the prophet or the priest ask you, saying, 'What is the oracle of the LORD?' you shall then say to them, 'What oracle?' I will even forsake you," says the LORD.

"And [as for] the prophet and the priest and the people who say, 'The oracle of the LORD!' I will even punish that man and his house.

"Thus every one of you shall say to his neighbor, and every one to his brother, 'What has the LORD answered?' and, 'What has the LORD spoken?'

"But since you say, 'The oracle of the LORD!' therefore thus says the LORD: 'Because you say this word, "The oracle of the LORD!" and I have sent to you, saying, "Do not say, 'The oracle of the LORD!' "

hara nik esan: Zama bezala jaso eta neuregandik urrun jaurtikiko zaituztet zuek eta zuen gurasoei eman nien hiria.

'therefore behold, I, even I, will utterly forget you and forsake you, and the city that I gave you and your fathers, and [will cast you] out of My presence.

The LORD showed me, and there were two baskets of figs set before the temple of the LORD, after Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon had carried away captive Jeconiah the son of Jehoiakim, king of Judah, and the princes of Judah with the craftsmen and smiths, from Jerusalem, and had brought them to Babylon.

One basket [had] very good figs, like the figs [that are] first ripe; and the other basket [had] very bad figs which could not be eaten, they were so bad.

Jaunak galdetu zidan: -Zer ikusten duzu, Jeremias? Nik erantzun: -Pikuak: onak benetan aukerakoak dira; txarrak, aldiz, guztiz txarrak, janezinak izateraino hondatuak.

Y me dijo Jehov?: "?Qu? ves t?, Jerem?as?" Yo dije: "Higos; higos buenos, muy buenos; y malos, muy malos, que de tan malos no se pueden comer".

L'?ternel me dit: Que vois -tu, J?r?mie ? Je r?pondis: Des figues, Les bonnes figues sont tr?s bonnes, et les mauvaises sont tr?s mauvaises et ne peuvent ?tre mang?es ? cause de leur mauvaise qualit?.

Then the LORD said to me, "What do you see, Jeremiah?" And I said, "Figs, the good figs, very good; and the bad, very bad, which cannot be eaten, they are so bad."

Orduan, Jaunak bere mezua adierazi zidan:

Y vino a m? palabra de Jehov?, diciendo:

La parole de l'?ternel me fut adress?e, en ces mots:

Again the word of the LORD came to me, saying,

"Atsegin da piku on hauek ikustea, ez da? Bada, halaxe, begi onez ikusten ditut babiloniarren lurraldera jaurtiki ditudan Judako erbesteratuak.

"As? ha dicho Jehov?, Dios de Israel: Como a estos higos buenos, as? mirar? a los deportados de Jud?, a los cuales ech? de este lugar a la tierra de los caldeos, para su bien.

Ainsi parle l'?ternel, le Dieu d'Isra?l: Comme tu distingues ces bonnes figues, ainsi je distinguerai, pour leur ?tre favorable, les captifs de Juda, que j'ai envoy?s de ce lieu dans le pays des Chald?ens.

"Thus says the LORD, the God of Israel: 'Like these good figs, so will I acknowledge those who are carried away captive from Judah, whom I have sent out of this place for [their own] good, into the land of the Chaldeans.

Nire begiak haiengan jarri ditut on egiteko: herrialde honetara itzularaziko ditut, eraiki egingo ditut eta ez eraitsi, landatu eta ez erauzi.

Je les regarderai d'un oeil favorable, et je les ram?nerai dans ce pays; je les ?tablirai et ne les d?truirai plus, je les planterai et ne les arracherai plus.

'For I will set My eyes on them for good, and I will bring them back to this land; I will build them and not pull [them] down, and I will plant them and not pluck [them] up.

Adimena emango diet ni Jauna naizela ezagut dezaten; nire herri izango ditut eta ni beren Jainko izango naute, bihotz osoz itzuliko baitira niregana.

Je leur donnerai un coeur pour qu'ils connaissent que je suis l'?ternel; ils seront mon peuple, et je serai leur Dieu, s'ils reviennent ? moi de tout leur coeur.

'Then I will give them a heart to know Me, that I [am] the LORD; and they shall be My people, and I will be their God, for they shall return to Me with their whole heart.

"Sedekias, Judako erregea, buruzagiak eta herrialde honetan gelditu diren Jerusalemgo bizilagunak eta Egipton bizi direnak, berriz, piku txar eta janezinak izateraino hondatutako horiek bezala hartuko ditut.

"Y como a los higos malos, que de tan malos no se pueden comer, as? ha dicho Jehov?, pondr? a Sedequ?as, rey de Jud?, a sus pr?ncipes y al resto de Jerusal?n que qued? en esta tierra, y a los que habitan en la tierra de Egipto.

Et comme les mauvaises figues qui ne peuvent ?tre mang?es ? cause de leur mauvaise qualit?, dit l'?ternel, ainsi ferai-je devenir S?d?cias, roi de Juda, ses chefs, et le reste de J?rusalem, ceux qui sont rest?s dans ce pays et ceux qui habitent dans le pays d'?gypte.

' And as the bad figs which cannot be eaten, they are so bad' -- surely thus says the LORD -- 'so will I give up Zedekiah the king of Judah, his princes, the residue of Jerusalem who remain in this land, and those who dwell in the land of Egypt.

Izugarrizko eskarmentu izango dira munduko erreinu guztientzat; lotsakizun eta isekagai izango dira, koplak aterako dizkiete eta madarikatu egingo jaurtikiko ditudan toki guztietan.

Y los dar? por horror y por mal a todos los reinos de la tierra, y por infamia, por refr?n, por burla y por maldici?n a todos los lugares donde yo los disperse.

Je les rendrai un objet d'effroi, de malheur, pour tous les royaumes de la terre, un sujet d'opprobre, de sarcasme, de raillerie, et de mal?diction, dans tous les lieux o? je les chasserai.

'I will deliver them to trouble into all the kingdoms of the earth, for [their] harm, [to be] a reproach and a byword, a taunt and a curse, in all places where I shall drive them.

The word that came to Jeremiah concerning all the people of Judah, in the fourth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah (which [was] the first year of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon),

which Jeremiah the prophet spoke to all the people of Judah and to all the inhabitants of Jerusalem, saying:

"Amonen seme eta Judako errege Josiasen hamahirugarren urtetik gaur arte, hogeita hiru urtetan hain zuzen, Jaunak bere mezua eman dit aditzera eta nik lehiaz iragarri dizuet; baina zuek ez didazue aditu.

"From the thirteenth year of Josiah the son of Amon, king of Judah, even to this day, this [is] the twenty-third year in which the word of the LORD has come to me; and I have spoken to you, rising early and speaking, but you have not listened.

L'?ternel vous a envoy? tous ses serviteurs, les proph?tes, il les a envoy?s d?s le matin; et vous n'avez pas ?cout?, vous n'avez pas pr?t? l'oreille pour ?couter.

"And the LORD has sent to you all His servants the prophets, rising early and sending [them,] but you have not listened nor inclined your ear to hear.

"They said, 'Repent now everyone of his evil way and his evil doings, and dwell in the land that the LORD has given to you and your fathers forever and ever.

n'allez pas apr?s d'autres dieux, pour les servir et pour vous prosterner devant eux, ne m'irritez pas par l'ouvrage de vos mains, et je ne vous ferai aucun mal.

'Do not go after other gods to serve them and worship them, and do not provoke Me to anger with the works of your hands; and I will not harm you.'

Baina ez dituzue Jaunaren hitzak aditu nahi izan eta zeuen idolatriazko jardueraz iraintzen jarraitu duzue, zigorra zeuen gainera erakarriz.

Pero no me hab?is escuchado, dice Jehov?, sino que me hab?is provocado a ira con la obra de vuestras manos para vuestro propio mal.

Mais vous ne m'avez pas ?cout?, dit l'?ternel, afin de m'irriter par l'ouvrage de vos mains, pour votre malheur.

"Yet you have not listened to Me," says the LORD, "that you might provoke Me to anger with the works of your hands to your own hurt.

" Therefore thus says the LORD of hosts: 'Because you have not heard My words,

'behold, I will send and take all the families of the north,' says the LORD, 'and Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, My servant, and will bring them against this land, against its inhabitants, and against these nations all around, and will utterly destroy them, and make them an astonishment, a hissing, and perpetual desolations.

'Moreover I will take from them the voice of mirth and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride, the sound of the millstones and the light of the lamp.

Toda esta tierra ser? convertida en ruinas y en espanto; y servir?n estas naciones al rey de Babilonia durante setenta a?os.

Tout ce pays deviendra une ruine, un d?sert, et ces nations seront asservies au roi de Babylone pendant soixante-dix ans.

'And this whole land shall be a desolation [and] an astonishment, and these nations shall serve the king of Babylon seventy years.

Mais lorsque ces soixante-dix ans seront accomplis, je ch?tierai le roi de Babylone et cette nation, dit l'?ternel, ? cause de leurs iniquit?s; je punirai le pays des Chald?ens, et j'en ferai des ruines ?ternelles.

' Then it will come to pass, when seventy years are completed, [that] I will punish the king of Babylon and that nation, the land of the Chaldeans, for their iniquity,' says the LORD; 'and I will make it a perpetual desolation.

'So I will bring on that land all My words which I have pronounced against it, all that is written in this book, which Jeremiah has prophesied concerning all the nations.

'(For many nations and great kings shall be served by them also; and I will repay them according to their deeds and according to the works of their own hands.)' "

Jerusalem and the cities of Judah, its kings and its princes, to make them a desolation, an astonishment, a hissing, and a curse, as [it is] this day;

y a todo el conjunto de naciones, a todos los reyes de tierra de Uz y a todos los reyes de la tierra de Filistea: de Ascal?n, Gaza, Ecr?n y el resto de Asdod;

? toute l'Arabie, ? tous les rois du pays d'Uts, ? tous les rois du pays des Philistins, ? Askalon, ? Gaza, ? ?kron, et ? ce qui reste d'Asdod;

all the mixed multitude, all the kings of the land of Uz, all the kings of the land of the Philistines (namely, Ashkelon, Gaza, Ekron, and the remnant of Ashdod);

Edom, Moab eta Amoni;

all the kings of Tyre, all the kings of Sidon, and the kings of the coastlands which [are] across the sea;

Dedan, Teman eta Buz herrialdeei eta beduinoei;

Ded?n, Tema y Buz, y todos los que se rapan las sienes;

? Dedan, ? Th?ma, ? Buz, Et ? tous ceux qui se rasent les coins de la barbe;

Dedan, Tema, Buz, and all [who are] in the farthest corners;

Arabiako errege guztiei; basamortuan bizi diren populazio nahasien erregeei;

a todos los reyes de Arabia, a todos los reyes del conjunto de pueblos que habitan en el desierto;

? tous les rois d'Arabie, Et ? tous les rois des Arabes qui habitent dans le d?sert;

all the kings of Arabia and all the kings of the mixed multitude who dwell in the desert;
