Ph.D. in Basque Philology (2003). Associate Professor at the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU) since 1998. Dean of the Faculty of Sciences of Physical Activity and Sports (2010-2011); president of the Education Section of the Society of Basque Studies / Eusko Ikaskuntza (2003-2013); and since 2018 responsible for the UNESCO Chair of World Linguistic Heritage of the UPV / EHU.
Researcher of the ELEBILAB research group (formerly HIJE) since 1995, and participant in more than 11 projects, some of them of different research groups; I have conducted 7 transfer projects. Editor of the Ikastaria journal (2005-2018). Author and coordinator of some books and more than 50 articles; with more than 50 contributions in international congresses. Research stays at the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences of the University of Geneva (Switzerland) (2008), at the University of Bordeaux-Montagne III (IKER-UMR 5478) (France) (2012) and at the University of Reno (USA) (2019).
