Submissions

We have accepted communication proposals in any of the official languages in AIETI (Catalan, Spanish, Basque, Galician and Portuguese) or in English.

Remember that we offer a simultaneous interpreting service from Basque into Spanish, the two preferred languages in this edition of the congress.

Your proposal has to observe a word limit of 300 words at most, including the works cited.

Below, you will find the submissions form. You need to attach a brief biography (100-150 words). One bio for each speaker.

You can submit works dealing specifically with themes on any of the languages of the conference or related to broader researching topics in Translation and Interpreting. However, in order to help us organize the program, we have included several options for you to choose when you send your registration form:

  • Linguistic approaches
  • Research methods and Cognitive approaches
  • Gender studies, ideology and cultural studies
  • Interpreting
  • Accessibility and audiovisual media
  • Professional and didactic aspects
  • Technology and localization
  • Translation theory and history

If necessary for organizational reasons, the Organizing Committee reserves the right to reassign some of the proposals, provided that their objectives are consistent with the lines of the newly assigned panel.
Acceptance now will be notified before February 23rd, 2024.

Speakers will have 20 minutes to read the accepted proposals, which will be followed by ten minutes for questions and comments.

If you have submitted a poster proposal, you will have the opportunity to present your work in a specific session dedicated to this form.
