Degree in Physics (1998) and doctorate degree (2003) at the University of the Basque Country. During 1996-1997 she studied in Niels Bohr Institute at the University of Copenhagen, during 1997-1998 she received a grant to collaborate at the Department of Physics of condensed matter in the field of crystallography.

She developed her doctorate work at the Department of Electricity and Magnetism of the UPV/EHU where she worked on electronic and magnetic properties of Fe-Al alloys. To write her thesis she travelled to Max Plank Institute, Max Von Lau-Pal and ESRF.

During two academic years (2002-2003 and 2003-2004), she worked in Mondragon University as a lecturer and researcher. During that period, she collaborated with the Group of Magnetism of the UPV/EHU and Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona-ICREA.

Since 2004-2005 she has been working in the Applied Physics I Department at the UPV/EHU and she is an Associate Professor (December 2009). As far as research is concerned, she continued working in the Group of Magnetism (now Nuclear and luminescent Techniques laboratory) until 2011. Nowadays she is working in the Photothermal Techniques Group at the Department of Applied Physics I of the UPV/EHU. She has codirected two doctoral thesis.

Since April 2012, she is working in the Dean Team of the Faculty of Engineering Vitoria-Gasteiz, as Vicedean for International Relations and Research.
