The main goal of this subject is to provide the fundamentals, techniques and technologies required for image-based diagnosis. For that purpose the concepts associated with the interaction between electromagnetic waves, acoustic waves, and ionizing radiation and the human body will be analyzed. The concepts and systems associated with the different types of equipment used for diagnosis, analysis and monitoring in this field will also be detailed.
